I got your fragrance in and sprayed it on this morning to go too work. With in 5 minutes, 2 comps the boss man's wife caught me in the kitchen gave me a nibble on my ear trouble trouble trouble
The dumbest criticism leveled at any fragrance is that it smells old or like an old person. I’ll tell you what I’ve never heard anyone say. “That twenty-five-year-old kid smells really amazing.”
Dan, the intro alone is GOLD!!! LOL BTW... I received my Gravitas and it's something I consider very unique and excellent for the style. The pepper and vanilla notes stand out and I have not smelled anything similar. It's very original, outstanding, and masculine!!! Well done, sir!!!
Hi Dan, I had Mediterraneo a while back. It reminds me of Xerjoff's Renaissance with more pronounced tangerine and orange blossom notes (to put it simply). Does not have Xerjoff's performance but not too shabby, more natural smelling. I think celebrities perfumes should become a monthly issue on your channel, it's fun to watch. Leo's was the biggest surprise for me. Knew about SMW and TF GV. My understanding is that Guerlain's Vetiver used to be closer to TF Grey Vetiver's a while back (more soapy and citrusy that is). If I had to pick one, TF would be my choice by a mile. :) PS Sinatra was a heavy user of AdP in his younger, more vulnerable years! Surprised you did not bring it up.
Vera Wang Men was Will Smith's signature scent for years. Not sure if he still wears it now though. Amazing scent. Was my signature scent for several year's also. Usually about £20 for 100ml. I believe it's been discontinued now.. Well worth a second look Dan..
Love this topic especially the older gentlemen. I like to use fragrances to go back in time. Would be great to have Frank sinatra's fragrance and listen his songs, you'd probably feel like you are back in the old days 😊
Vera Wang for Will Smith is deffo true, he was on Chris Moyles breakfast show years ago and they remarked how good he smelled and then he had a couple of bottles delivered to the studio. It was my signature scent for years, I got another bottle recently and it seems much more synthetic and artificial now, I remember it being a bit richer and warmer back in the day.
@@mercedesbenzs600bash funny thing about it it's not as strong as it used to be but at the end of working day I would still get the odd compliment even tho I can't smell it. Also Next back in the day had a clone of it called True identity it was a aftershave spray and they did a splash.
For Christmas I received David Beckham Homme lol. Whether he wears his own fragrance is the question. I love Lagerfeld- the older formulation. Cointreau it does. I remember Labyrinth as a kid with Bowie. I think that's the movie.
I hate that I "Like" so many of your videos after just watching the intros! Tristano from the Urban Gentry channel dupes me in the same manner. My gf doesn't get it and looks at me like I'm a dork, which I am, but that's part of the fun. Cheers from San Diego! :)
I was a bit sucked into finding out what these celebs wear / wore... I only knew the bonus - I DID know Charlie Chaplin wore Mitsouko (I do, too, on occasion)!
A few that I’ve heard of are Bijan worn by a lot of Hollywood in the 80s Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone etc. Charlie Chaplin was said to wear Mitsouko. Elvis Presley apparently wore Old Spice. Heard Frank Sinatra wore Agua Lavanda. The Beatles wore Tabac in the 60s. Michael Jackson wore Lagerfeld Classic. Tom Ford has stated that his favourites are Eucris and Yatagan and also likes Caron Pour Un Homme.
I have been enjoying Vera Wang men for years now and barely hear anything about it. It's quite the surprise hearing that Will Smith wears this hidden gem of a cheepie. It's very similar to D&G the One with a hint of floral
@@jcbnsa A completely underrated fragrance. I've had this in my collection since it was first released almost 20 years ago and always a backup bottle . Perfect for date night / evening wear .
That's true about Will Smith wearing Vera Wang, I remember he brought Chris Moyles a bottle when he went on the breakfast show. This would have been a while ago, 2006 or 2007 maybe.
Aparently Musk by Lorenzo Villoresi is Brad Pitt's signature scent. Cary Grant and Gregory Peck aparently wore Acqua di Parma Colonia. Sammy Davis Jr. wore Aramis, the original one. Still in the music scene the french seducer Serge Gainsbourg wore Caron pour un homme and even wrote a song abt it, Tom Ford also loves that one. The rebel without a cause James Dean aparently wore Knize Ten.
Awesome video, very informative , also loved the intro!! 😁🤣 Awesome to include my fav music artist Freddie Mercury, My name Killer Queen gives that away I guess. I myself researched this topic many a times on google and was surprised to find most celebs wearing common designer fragrances! I thought they’d be bathing in Kilians and Creeds 😅
The intro is great! Thanks for the laugh! Apparently, if we're supposed to trust the information online, and I don't know quite frankly how authentic or how up to date the information really is, Clint Eastwood's and Pierce Brosnan's signature fragrance is Creed Green Irish Tweed. Harrison Ford, Andy Garcia, Tom Cruise and Arnold Schwarzenegger wear Guerlain Vetiver (and apparently it also used to be the signature scent of Peter Sellers and ex President John F. Kennedy). My favorite Bond actor - Sean Connery, apparently wears Guerlain Jicky and Guerlain Habit Rouge.
Love the intro Dan ;) Are there any plans to distribute Gravitas through luckyscent or another store that ships to New Zealand :D I really want a bottle and the sooner the better!! Nice video too thx
Clint Eastwood supposedly likes fragrance Green Irish Tweed and one from house Demeter called "Dirt" which smells like dirt. I'm guessing the later was to get into character.
the Vera Wang comes from years ago on the Chris Moyles show when he was on Radio 1. Will was a guest and Chris said he smelt amazing. He said it’s Vera Wang. A week later he sent Chris 100 mls but it was way more expensive and upmarket then.
I'll be honest, I just discovered your TH-cam channel, and I must say I'm quite impressed, enjoyed all the reviews & quite looking forward to seeing more. Just a quick thought on the mature fragrances and one that came to mind was Jovan Musk for Men, believe it was intro. In 1973
I was listening to radio 1 years back was when Chris moyles was doing the breakfast show they had will smith on they all commented on how good he smelled he told them it was Vera Wang so thought I would give it a try was more expensive back then about £45 50ml but was really nice i had to get it the performance was good very pleasant and a real compliment getter its not as good performance now but at £20 100ml it's worth it especially if you want a less expensive D&G the one alternative with the same performance and smells very similar then give it a try.
The other one that comes to mind is Ian Fleming (and James Bond I think) and Floris 89.. and of course, famously, Marilyn Monroe wearing nothing to bed but a drop of Chanel no 5. As for Frank Sinatra, I would recommend a great film The Man With the Golden Arm (where he plays a heroin addict musician)
I read that Prince Edward wore Guerlain Heritage, put me off for some reason. Loved the sample, didn't graduate to full size. Usually I'm my own man when it comes to fragrance, too.
I read somewhere, Frank Sinatra had serious OCD and didn't like anyone around him with a strong fragrance. He was probably just a 'shower is good enough for me' kinda guy.

Also favored by JFK, Cary Grant, and Gore Vidal.

Cary Grant wore Aqua Di Parma from 1916...it smells great, fresh citrus smell....almost like fresh cut grass...

Laurence Olivier wore Floris Vetiver. You can only get it in the store. Marilyn Monroe also wore yard keys English lavender and Floris rose accord
Leonardo used to wear Eau d' Hadrien and Andy Garcia wore Guerlain Vetiver I remember reading.
