  • I picked up this deep picture frame at Goodwill for $2.00. I used a splatter screen from Dollar Tree to use on the bottom. Any deep picture frame will do the same thing.

I love that you are doing this with basic on-hand tools. A lot of people don't have fancy tools.

@@Scousergirl thank you. Fancy tools can be more dangerous. Glad you liked it.

Wow what a great idea! Thanks for the suggestion. I bought a similar tray feeder a couple of years ago and I love it - but I paid more than I wanted to for what it was. I want another and felt it should be easy to make but I do not have tools for doing wood working - I love love love this idea and I love the fact that anyone can easily do it. Thank you so much I am definitely going to make one, or two or three of them lol they would also make great gifts!

Wonderful videos Larry for another garden birds and animal lover. I love the birds and squirrels that are coming to our garden. Also the animals in the nearby forest and Nature Reserve. Thank you for giving me more inspiration.💕🍂

Back again for another view Larry I just bought my first ground bird feeder a Gray Bunny one fo r $20 from Amazon but it is way to small. I am thing of buying a biger one about 20 inches wide and 15 long but they are expentive 60+ buckks and the ones with a roof are over $100. I bet you could make a reallly good one. Back to Amazon I go looking for one. I JUST LOVE BIRD FEEDERS AND CAN NOT GET ENOUGH . It is way to expentive to keep them all filled so I only fill 2 or 3 up a day now.

I've been searching the thrift stores for months looking for something that I could make a ground feeder from. It's high on my priority list. Hopefully I'll find something soon

Neat idea. My wife laughs at me all the time. When we go to Good Will, I'm always seeing a non garden item in the garden.
I'm sure it's the same with you, but at TSC a 40# bag of black oil sunflower seeds went from $17.99 to $24.99. This was several months ago.

Hello Jimmy. Goodwill and a church sponsored thrift store are both on my way to the feed store. I don’t stop every time but most of the time. I only go if I’m mot with my wife. She’s never been to a yard sale either. You’re right about the price of bird food, like everything else it keeps going up. We get ours at Sam’s warehouse. Thanks for watching, take care

Very akward messing with that huge knife. Screwdriver pretty obvious choice to pry out staples... or even a staple remover..? May be a safer suggestion to the audience watching....
