Have the Nordics hijacked NATO? The Nordic peninsula is so on the periphery with an unfortunate geography and miserable climate, they can't even feed themselves outside peacetime. This is an unacceptable liability for other NATO countries. What have these little nations ever done apart from brag incessantly about how 'great' they are? Outside peacetime, Article 5 is just a loose string of text. Understand this. All governments, regardless, have a primary duty to utilise their own military forces to defend their respective nations at any cost to others. The idea it gets wasted defending marginal lands on the periphery cannot be justified. There's never been any indication any of these nations would ever defend other European nations, especially Britain. Quite the opposite, fact checked. If Trump gets back in the White House and pulls the US out of NATO, Britain and possibly Turkey likely follow.

What we need is more troops bordering Russia. And Norway, Sweden, and Finland both have strong economies, with Sweden especially having great military prowess in a country like Europe. Swedish military tech is also among the most advanced, especially in the fields of ground vehicles, and aircraft, notable examples being the Archer, which is wreaking havoc on Russian positions in Ukraine, and the JAS-39 Gripen, proven to be one of the most advanced air superiority fighters to date.
Edit: Especially the Finnish border, which is close to Kola and Murmansk, which are both locations that possess Russian nuclear submarine bases and missile silos.

To invest more in your defenses yous need to change your economies to a war footing, not carry on 'business as usual' and boastfully bragging about how wonderful yous all think you are. Your free ride is over. Article 5 is merely a loose string of text outside peacetime. Other NATO members will be too busy defending their respective nations and interests.
