I done this with my daughter's play kitchen sink. It's started to rust where water lays at the joint of the plug hole and basin. Not all stainless steels are made the same. Wipe up any pooling water, love the unit you built!!

I was looking at the flat bottom of my bowl tonight and thinking water will pool unless I slightly angle it and put the hole off center. I thought about hammering the bottom to not be so flat but as the bowl cost 3 Canadian dollars it makes more sense to replace it if it rusts
I'm waiting on my hole saw bit that's coming tomorrow. How long before yours rusted, I could also run clear silicone around the rim of the drain where it meets the bowl but like Wood and Wild my silicone application is full of love but uneven results lol (no hate )

Great job minus the caulking I can't unsee the bumps lol, but your woodworking is very clean
I'm in the process of building one for those sinks in my work "closet /tool room" I have water but no drain, and I scored a free slim jug that cost around 80 bucks from a supply store outside a restaurant, it's pretty thick plastic which generally is not the case for restaurant liquid supplies( over the last 8 months I've tried a few and the sides buckle). I scrubbed it clean and left it to soak in bleach its just for the grey water. Just waiting on my hole saw bit !

Planning to do same and paint hammered black. What size drain did ya go with 11/2”? Will be draining straight on down through hole in floor and have 12V pump. Now need find basic tankless mini sink heater or an immersible one

What pump and tap did you use please?

Hey! It was a whale submersible pump that fed to a whale pressure switch then on to the tap. The tap was custom made but I'm just putting together another video on how to make one which should be around soon!

No no no do not use decorators caulk around the sink it will shrink and it’s not fully water proof, use silicone sealant 🤦‍♂️
