Great video and solid advice! We have been on the same path, my friend! I've been having exactly the same issue, 100% cpu and network lag detected with pubg locking up for up to 10 seconds multiple times every match. I've tried so many fixes with no real fix found. My overclocked (4.6Ghz) i5 6600k used to run pubg just fine, even with my old gtx 970. I recently upgraded the gpu to a gtx 1070, curtesy of a friend giving one to me! I can play with higher in game settings now, looks much better. But I still get the lock ups with 100% cpu, especially when parachuting, especially in squads. Thing that confuses me is pubg does run smooth for me for first couple of games, 85% cpu - 90% gpu, so I know it can play nice. I don't experience the lock ups as much in solos, but do get stutters quite bad. I am currently considering pulling the trigger on a i7 7700k, but at £100 (I'm in the UK) they are a little pricey for the small gains to be had. But with your suggested fixes I can confirm that pubg runs much better. Thank you for taking the time to share your solutions
you're most welcome! I'm happy to hear every time somebody appreciates this video. This issue was driving me nuts, I hope I've helped in some small way or at least given you something to think about. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.
yes i have an rtx 3050 and 64 gb ram i didn't know where the lag is coming from but after this it became playable anyway the CPU needs an upgrade @@c0wb0yTV
I tried this and it seemed to work at first but then it started maxing out the cpu again. I even change the registry to make the change permanent every time I launched the game. I got a friend a free rig with an i5-7600 16GB DDR4 and a GTX 1070 and I can't get it to play PUBG. The CPU usage is maxed out no matter what settings I change. I have read that CPU usage is higher when graphics settings are turned down in PUBG(weird) but it doesn't matter what I change. Still freezes and is unplayable. They need to either fix this garbage to work on older platforms or just accept that the number of players will continue to decline due to poor optimization which results in only the more fortunate having the opportunity to play.
So just needed to update this comment because I found something that works for me. It's waiting. When I launch the game I just monitor the CPU usage until it drops below 40%(might be different for different CPUs) and then I can launch a match. So just sitting in the lobby for 5 to 7 minutes and then it's fine. Idk why it does this but yeah there it is. The computer plays fine after letting it do whatever is sucking all the processor up.
@@BakaRed77 im having the same issue, my cpu is i7-14700k, cpu voltage is 1.26, so its not doing a crazy power that the cpu temperature is around 56. But the cpu usage is around 90% - 100% when i get into the game. All i can do is wait for couple minutes to low it down to 40%. It might be the game issue since its only happens to PUBG rather than other games for me
Wow thank you so much! My game was never as bad as yours but has always felt off vs what I see from streamers etc. Fps is there but the game just feels cumbersome - even down to the speed of gun reloads. Followed your advice and basically changed prio on all the Tslgame files running to low and boom its a different game - I am winning a lot more 1v1's, hitting shots at 300m plus, killing people out of vehicles and my bullets actually end up where they should. Happy days (well other than when Rondo loads up and I have to back out - hate that map).
Thanks, it worked, it went from unplayable 100% cpu load with game constant crashing and 20 second lagspikes, to now 50 fps stable 75% average cpu load. So counterintuitive to set priority to low, but your explanation makes sense. I have been using my i5-7500 without problems, until this year where each update to the game has been making it worse every time. Now it is bearable to play intil the new i5 core ultra series releases in a few months. Time for an upgrade.
I'm happy it worked for you, I upgraded to a ryzen 7 5800x3d and damn its incredible for the price! the am4 stuff is really cheap right now maybe compare and save a few bucks.
Mine is still being pegged to the max. So, I have an i7 6700k processor. Theres no reason it should be maxxing my processor. I had my frames limited to 60fps. I just turned on V-Sync, lets see if that helps. But normally, from the jump into my first few minutes of gameplay, the game is unplayable. This has always been a buggy game, but this is unacceptable.
its not that the game is buggy its just that the system requirements are a lot greater after all the updates, my i5-7600k was totally unplayable. it seems an older system just cant run modern PUBG.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've been dealing with this for the last 3-4 years, playing with so many stutters, especially right when I shoot. Finally played again after a year and looked to see if anyone has figured anything out yet. Changed PUBG to lowest priority for CPU and that fixed it! It still says 99%-100% for CPU on task manager but at least the lag is gone now.
Well there's a few thing i could figure it out that could bring the CPU usage down on PUBG is about changing the FPS like the video said, and some other was to uninstall the gamebar from Xbox just make the things more playable. But still it help me to idle cpu around 30%-50% on lobby before that its around 60%-80%. btw im using Ryzen 3 2200G with no addon GPU. One thing i never tried was to low the priority of CPU from the task manager.

I went from i5 4460 to 12400 and only now I have similar issues, mostly related to crashing whenever I put fps above 70 something. I had performance issues with my old cpu, but it was never crashing.
Ive been considering grabbing a 7700K on ebay for like $80 to replace my 7600K but I think it might be better just to put that money towards a new gen cpu and mobo. Can even get the zen 3 ryzen chips on AM4 mobo that use DDR4 ram still to save some money. That would be about 250-350 depending on what ryzen cpu, cooler, and mobo you get for like the budget stuff thats decent.
I fixed this solution my cpu is 13 10th gen. Open your game and goto training mod and open your settings switch to resolution Boardless. And wait for 3 minit in training mod. That change your fps drop or sluttering and netwrok error🙌.

Don't use or lower the music, I have the same problem and will try the easy fix. Might even upgrade my CPU from i5 3470 to i7 3770. Do you think that would solve this issue? Or should I go for a new gen processor and motherboard all together?
the i7 will help but in the long run you should upgrade to a newer cpu/mb combo. I just bought a ryzen 7 5800x3d and wow it's on an entirely new level from what I was gaming on before (it cost under $600 for cpu/mb/ram) kept my same gpu
One thing that I notice is, if you cpu and gpu aren't pretty close like performance, it can create some real issues. Myself, I have the same problem now. I'm having an I7 9700k with an RTX 4070TI( I used to have gtx 1080ti - when i had this i couldn't tell the difference )and I play on 2k resolution, the first few matches they're just ok, but then it's starts shattering because my CPU can handle the GPU I'm guessing. The temperature, drivers it all fine, but like I mentioned the Performance between these two they don't really match. I'm thinking to upgrade the cpu to 13th generation but then I have to change the motherboard also. The game itself PUBG isn't well optimised as well 😕
My core i3 12th generation hit 100% every 4 5 seconds, i dont know why, i think my cpu is strong enough for the game right? Im using rtx 2060 Can someone help thank you
