I've succesfully learned through life that our sense of judgement is merely ephemeral. Music on the other hand is timeless

If it makes you focus on wanting to do substances, then consider giving it up. If it's just a nostalgic experience, then that's probably OK. I think in order to quit a substance, you have to be honest to yourself about it. Nobody starts an addiction hating the addiction, though I suppose it's theoretically possible. You aren't quitting because you never liked it, you're quitting because it's in the way of what you truly want for yourself. I quit antidepressants and mood stabilizers when I moved out of my parents. That was really hard because everyone in my life thought I should be taking them, and without them I was perpetually depressed. It would have been so easy to just go back to taking pills every day, but I decided that it was more important to me to find out who I was without pills, which I had started taking before I was even 10. It was hard, but that only made it an even more valuable accomplishment for me to look back on. Things truly worth doing are usually hard in one way or another.

The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well

It's whimsical, yet focused. There's a drop which sort of sneaks out of nowhere to pull you into a vocoder-driven breakdown. And just as suddenly as it popped out, the beat collapses and you hear the giggles of DuvDev as the track fades into oblivion. I consider "Saeed" and "Dancing with Kadafi" to be better tracks overall, but "Shakawkaw" will always have it's own special place in my heart.
