I certainly we DO see you in the next video. At 74 years old, I too had some med problems from mid January into February--covid. Still having some lingering effects. Fatigue mostly which is not only from the virus, but also a result of the almost 3 years of lockdown. No hiking allowed on any state or federal land near me. Crazy stuff. So I am slowly rebuilding my endurance, but it is difficult at my age. Best wishes for your path forward. I look forward to your videos.
Kevin, twenty years ago, I had a severe back problem that would take an operation to fix. It started in January but couldn't get the fix till May so I was in a recliner chair in a strange position for the 4 and 1/2 months. My wife and son were working so my dog and I had the house to us! My problem was not as severe as yours as I could make it to the toilet and ham shack from time to time. Taught me a valuable lesson about being trapped by a health issue. Glad you made it through and are back to work! Greg
Many years ago I broke leg really bad. It would take 6-8 minutes to get up and get a glass of milk. I decided if you can get up and make a snack in 5 minutes you are truly blessed. You never understand until it happens to you.
Hi Kevin, sorry about your health issue, glad you are improving again now. I monitor 29.6 FM almost daily in the later afternoons here, the radio is on all the time but I am usually in the shack to hear it then, been constant activity and I can hear everything well to the western US, my beam is usually pointed that way from MN here. Hey Kevin (de WB2ZDB), Back in 89, I was working at NYC EMS & while my partner & I were taking a fully immobilized patient out of the bus (ambulance) & the undercarriage of the stretcher collapsed on to my knees, the patient was OK, I however, was not. Long story short, I'm able to go to work every day, I'm able to walk around (a bit, kind of rolling gate, like a sailor just off a 3 masted schooner on land for the first time in years) but some days, like when we're getting some snow (read ANY Snow) coming in I'm eating the Advil's & Aleve's like Pez candies! I hope & pray that things get better for you, I've at least got m'lady to help out some when things get bad, (sorry, don't want to rub anything in but don't know of any other way to say it). I've had pretty serious heart problems for 20 years which have seen me hospitalised many times and now understand how much more many people suffer. Makes you really appreciate the good times! Glad you’re still kicking and I’m excited for the success of your CWvox project! I’ve had some issues knock me down lately as I think many of us have. From one of your videos I realized we are about the same age. Last May I did more radiation treatments for prostate cancer, 2 weeks after I finished I was on call for work and ended up working 20 hours, 2 weeks later I tested positive for Covid, life hasn’t been the same since. About Christmas time I started to feel better. I’m still getting better but I’m a long ways from were I was before or after radiation. I pray you have recovered and continue going. Have you heard of the sun / heart connection? I'm not a wack job but I have noticed more health issues lately aside from the un-official yet believable jab "theory". This pure blood had some health issues hitting me all at once, no reason, Dr. can't explain it. All of the sudden I had 3 things I had to address, one major. We're about the same age. All I can say is stay healthy buddy, we missed you.
