They made the friendships and babalities because in the 90’s parents were angry at the MK devs for the gore (MK is the reason R rated was created I’m pretty sure) so to balance out the gore they made babalities and friendships in Mortal Kombat 2 as a family friendly alternative for children playing it in the arcade
I figured as much when it came to the Friendships, makes sense for this too! Also form the MK1 fatalities I've seen so far it feels WAY more comedic too!
Babalities are meant to be more humiliating because you have to do more than just win Requirements 1. Win the match without losing a round 2. Win the match without pressing blocking so no blocking ever.
@@ChocolateKieran yeah and definitely check out the x-rays, fatalities, boss fatalities. a few things (for extra fun) -kratos was banned from competitive play because he was a PS3 exclusive character. -be aware that some MK9 fatality videos on yt that say all fatalities but don't have kratos but if you happen to react to one of them just go to kratos fatalities video -Shao kahn is not a playable character in MK9 so if you see anyone playing as shao kahn, goro or kintauro they are on PC using mod

Banalities are one of the most ridiculous things to come out the mortal kombat franchise which makes great 😂 Also the robot with bomb was cyrax, the baby with a gun is styker, the baby that did a side flip is liu kang and the baby that has teleportation is noob saibot

@@ChocolateKieran That is true, but in my eyes, it's clear that they at least some what mentally regress, not completely as some can use their weapons somewhat, but it's obvious they aren't as capable as before seeing as some of them throw tantrums, things they would never do as adults. Plus imagine being a blind or armless baby like Kenshi and Jax. Or completely frozen solid like cyber sub zero, he got it the worst by far. Though Freddy and Kratos aren't too affected by it as shown, but then again it has been shown in the movies that Freddy has been evil since he was a kid, and Kratos is Kratos.
