- Comprised of robust brass melodies, sweeping woodwind lines, and repeating rhythmic patterns, this 2010 composition captures the epic grandeur and beauty of Mount Everest. It invites us to ponder the world’s tallest mountain - at once beautiful and mystical, unpredictable and highly dangerous, never straightforward and always incredibly tough. Rossano Galante is from Buffalo, NY, and received his BA in trumpet performance from SUNY Buffalo in 1992. He went on to study film scoring at USC, and has composed or orchestrated more than 60 works for film and TV, along with his large scale works for band, orchestra and small ensemble.
