@@Nelson_504 As an indigenous Canadian (obviously can't speak for Australian Aboriginal people) I know that in my culture regalia (what we wear to dance in) is sacred and often passed down from our elders and buried with us so maybe wearing Australian regalia would have been in poor taste.
it's not an Indigenous dance tho it's cultural appropriation, let's be real here.

miss australia was acknowledging the indigenous people,, australia was colonized. it depends if she had indigenous or not,, search up australian history.

In defense of the other slavic countries like Belarus and Poland, the traditional are often very soft and delicate especially for the women’s part, plus those dances are more for fun than for show a lot of the time, where as Ukraine’s was a men’s military dance, and Ukrainian folk dance has a very developed stage form done internationally across the diaspora, which helps in competitions like this

And this is why I wanted her 1st runner up (Megan Gordon) to represent USA at Miss World we have better dances in America than that. As an American I hated it. The country line dance by United States in 2014 was a better representation. I think paying homage to our indigenous peoples would have been better than the colonizers.

The Indigenous people of Australia used many forms of communication to retell stories & pass down history, in this case it is through dance. She may be representing an animal or simply herself.
Many of the dance moves represent the ways of living in traditional Australia, which should be respected, it is one of the oldest cultures in the world!
I am an Australian (I am not of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage) what I have said is in full respect of a culture that I am still learning more about.
