I tried the Cut and Drop method this year. All I got was an infestation of slugs. The decaying matter along with persistent wet weather is what I blame for this infestation. Never again.

Agreed. It should depend on every one's environment. Where I live the humidity never drops down below 50% all year round, and it rains in the winter. I'll get fungus problems faster than any compost.

I keep tropical fish, some fish like a higher pH some lower some soft water some harder, the aquarium world use a decloinator but non of them truly get rid of Chloramines what do you recommend carbon, sodium thiosulfate or anything else thank you
