Shopping at Dondon Donki/Don Quijote is always interesting because they have so much things to browse around and they always add new items to the store each time I visit
I wish I live in there. I always love Japan food and shoppings. It’s fun to watch this video. Thank you for sharing this amazing shopping food. I want to taste these delicious 🤤 Greetings from USA 🇺🇸
I've recently visited here (Nov 23) and had the 10 Yen bread!....It's rather a confusing shop for tourists...at least I found it to be..Nothing like it here in Scotland...But I love it!..So much to look at..very easy to spend a LOT...I visited a sizable number of Don's during my two trips to Japan....I also visited a HUGE number of BOOK OFF's and it's associated stores...These were the two main stores I entered when in Japan...as I wasn't confident enough to enter to many others.
Thank you so much for sharing! We would love visit Scotland one day. Yes, it's quite easy to spend hours and a lot of money at Donki! 😆 I am quite guilty of that myself. I'd like to share some Japanese stores that we like to visit as foreigners - Nitori (homegoods), Muji (I call this a minimalist Donki 😆), Loft, Hands, Life Maruetsu (grocery store), Uniqlo (clothes), GU (owned by Uniqlo, but cheaper) Daiso / CanDo / Seria (100 yen stores). I'm curious, how did you like the food in Japan? Cheers!
@@adoboramen Ah! yes I did visited a couple of Daiso's (I recently heard the founder just passed away) and a Hands..And I did take a swift walk around a Uniqlo..haha. As for the food..well I wasn't adventurous as I am a vegetarian .. and so had no idea what was in what. So stuck to very basic foods. I basically lived out of conbini stores. Family Mart was my fav.
@@adoboramen I had lost my partner to cancer in 2017 after 24 years together so it has been dark times for me. But I found some light in Japan and a Japanese rock band..So I traveled solo to Japan to see them LIVE in Tokyo in Jan 23.. But I also travel down to Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo of course...I then returned in Nov 23 to see the band again but this time stayed in Shin-Yokohama and Tokyo as the concert was at Yokohama Arena.
@@BodneyblueI'm so sorry... It's not easy... I admire your strength. May I ask the name of the rock band? I would travel for a rock band, too. :) Flew to Vegas to see Haim, my favorite girl band. @@BodneyblueConbini is always good and con...venient! My life has been so much better because of it. And bonus points for the fact that I don't feel like I'm gonna get mugged whilst buying an onigiri. The ones I've been to in Honolulu are quite... scary to say the least. haha

Hi @justaguywholikespie8221. I hear ya... as a parent I have the same concerns. No need to be jealous! It's sad that Japan's population is declining but that means there are going to be many opportunities for foreigners like us to live and work in Japan, especially in the medical field. I heard from a foreign business owner here that you can run a business here as long as you have proof of $50K USD. I didn't really research it but it might be something to look into. Ingat!
So have confirmed it is just like Daiei was before they switched to Don Quijote the exact same things can be found here in HI. HI. Except the hella expensive chili. XD
Hormel chili for 650 yen...about 4 times the US price. But I suppose there it is an exotic import.
I just saw Spam at another Japanese store... 900 yen!!
Shipping and import tax. Nuff said
@@adoboramen Yikes. And I thought it being an average of $3 a can here in HI was expensive.
@@x808drifter I'm gonna load up on the Spam when I get back to HI. Esp the ones with different flavors.
650 yen is $4.40 at today's rate. That is regular Safeway prices in California. Staggs Chili is where it is at. That runs closer to $4.99.
Wow there are so much stuff to look at. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much for watching @BubbleTina
