I wish they would revive this show and give it another chance. They should keep the clues crossword puzzle related. They should have an electric roller in the center(like on Monopoly Millionaire's Club) where the contestant can stop it with a remote and then personally walk across the board. For the round with the hotels and houses, the roller should still be in the center and the contestant who's in control(the last one who cashed in) gets to stop the roller. Also if landing on Chance or Community Chest, the player in control chooses the card out of 4 cards. I really think this gameshow deserves another chance. Bring it back! It's fun to watch!
I 100% agree! This is the way I think it should be. The first round should be them acquiring properties still with crossword puzzle clues. The second round should have them each with a game piece shown on the screen of their podium and the piece's image or silhouette appears on the board. They use an electric dice roller in the center activated by remote control(just like in Monopoly Millionaire's club). When they land on a property, they are given a crossword clue to answer. If right, they collect the rent. If wrong, the rent's value gets deducted from their score and into the landlord's score but if they're the landlord, it's not deducted but the other players can buzz in and steal it. If they roll and end up in jail, they remain there for 1 turn and can not collect anything while they're even if a player lands on their property. So if a player lands on their property, the player will not get penalized for answering incorrectly. The player can get out by either paying bail or rolling doubles. If a player lands on chance or community chest, 4 cards will appear and the player must pick one, (just like on the millionaire's club). If they land on a railroad, they get $200 and a chance to takeover someone else's monopolies. The second round would be the same, except all the money amounts would be doubled to make things more interesting. (Example Board Walk would go from $400 to $800 and its rent would be doubled). Of course, the money for things like bail and luxury tax would also be doubled. The bonus round would have the winner walk around the board themselves. They would be given 5 rolls. In the bonus round the value of all the colored properties would be 10X their normal value(Example: Board Walk would go from $400 to $4,000). They would receive the money amounts of whatever properties they land on. Other spaces would have prizes, including a brand new car should they land on FREE PARKING. If they pass GO, they will receive $50K but if they land exactly on GO, they will receive $100K. However, if the winner is in control of all 8 monopolies when the game is over, instead of $100K, they will receive $1Million if they land exactly on GO in the Bonus Round but still receive $50K if they pass GO.
@@CaptainSpalding72 Some people do care about things like these. Back in the day when I lived in Van Buren, IN, this aired at 7:30 pm on WPTA-TV 21Alive in Fort Wayne yet aired at 8:30 pm on WRTV Indianapolis. Indiana was a mess when it came to Daylight Savings Time and Sunday Liquor Sales until 2006 and 2018, respectively.
Nobody ever won the $50K in the 12 episodes of the show. 13 episodes were taped, but one never aired(ABC followed the SUper Jeopardy! finale on 9/8/1990 with an Americas FUnniest People special IIRC)
They should reboot this show and for the bonus round, if they pass GO, they should get $50K but if they land exactly on GO, they should get $100K. But if the winner is in control of all 8 monopolies at the end of the game then in the bonus round they should get $1Million if they land exactly on GO but still get $50K if they pass GO.
She needs the money to replace the upholstery on her couch, which she stripped to make that awful dress. Then there's the hostess' outfit with the big ol' bow on the butt. Seriously, what were people thinking back then? 😱

This definitely needs to be revived as one of those hour long Sunday prime time game shows
I 100% agree!

If there is a go to jail space 7 away, I am more likely to stop.
The bonus round reminds me of the game HIGH ROLLERS. There are good rolls and bad rolls.
OMG this IS a gameshow like Black Nerd Comedy said. Wow hahaha
How did they swap the tiles to go to jail? Was it a projector system like press your luck?
If you were playing this bonus round, where would you place the "Go to Jail" spaces on the Monopoly board?
Well good she can stop making dresses out of Motel 6 bed spreads.
This aired in the Des Moines area on Channel 5 WOI-TV!
Who cares!

I had forgotten all about Super Jeopardy!
@D Heine if that IS the case i would hate to have been in that player's shoes.

@@tpir19722007 I didn’t. I remember it well.
That lady who won was also a big winner on *"The $25,000 Pyramid"* in 1985!

That was pretty misogynist
