Is there a Persian script, everything is written in Arabic. Nov means new & roz is day, same as in some Indian languages. Its also new year in some parts of India around this time, its called Yugadi / Ugadi.
There was Persian script called khrosti similar to our old Brahmi script. That script was popular when all Iranian people were zoroster parsi. But when they were slaved by Arab 1000 yes ago, they didn't fight back and 90 percent became Muslim and replaced original script with Arabic alphabet. By the way, novroj falls close to our Basant or ugadi festival every year.
Happy norouz to both indian persi community and iranian people. Not only TATA , godrej etc contributed in India's economic development but also in other fields Parisian community has contributed a lot like in 1971 war general shyam manik shah broke Pakistan apart into two pieces . General shyam manik shah is the only general in indian army who had been conferred field marshal rank till now.
Next time in Mumbai or Ahmadabad you can celebrate Navroj with our parsi Zoroastrian friends who ran away from Iran and didn't convert to arbi. These parsi took shelter in India 1200 yes ago. Very happy in India away from Iran and arbi

I know hindi and farsi are completely different languages...but if someone knows farsi, is it easier for them to learn hindi or turkish for example? Which one is farsi more related to? Im.curious because when i hear farsi it sounds quite similar, but with a different accent.
Hindi and Farsi are Not different. They belong to Indo-European language group. Hundreds of words are similar. For example.Haft is Saptah mean week sakha is Sakha mean branch , baju is bah mean arm, dard is dukha mean pain amdeed is agman mean arrival, mas is maha mean month , madya is mey mean wine, Dast is hast mean hand, dunt is dant, jiban is jivha mean tongue , choke is cheksu, mean eye . Also 1 to 10 counting is same as Hindi. I could give you hundreds of words.
Interesting fact: MAZANDARAN was known as a homeland of the "DIV" during ancient Iranian times. The book Shahnameh mentions this. Div and Deva are the same word and group and they were likely spread out from India to Anatolia, according to many modern day scholars. Nowrus Pirouz!
@@fati.greenland Sure? In your Mazandaran, there are places named Div Asiyab, Div Cheshmeh, Div Kela, Div Hamam, etc. Could you be descendants of the Div/Deva tribe? Ancient books talk about a split and competition in Aryan tribes, where one becomes Div/Deva and the other becomes Ahura/Asura. Partha, Parsa, Mada...likely came from Ahuras. Firdosi was probably a Partha, since he was from the Parthian region (Mashhad area). There is scholarly evidence that Div/Deva followers ranged from Anatolia/Turkey to India. It is known as the Mittani treaty or documents. Iranian history is interesting!
Dev can also mean devil in some irani context. Our sura became asura in Irani calander. These similarities are from Vedic and Avesta periods in India and Iran. Iran named after aryaman just like our Bharat Aryavert desh. But Irani were slaved by Arab and they forget about that.
@@rbalodhi3489 Yes, Avesta and Vedas are in some respects, inversely related. There appears to be a branching off and competition among the Div/Deva and Asura/Ahura. But initially they are seen as one original group, which shares reverence for Mitra, Varuna, Shukra (Shukracharya), etc.
Iran is great civilization due to their rich heritage of zorasstrian religion. Iran was super power in era of Cyrus the great.... But I always feel regret about arab vs sassanian war If sassanian were not looser that day We country were also super power.... If sassanian were winner that day Pakistan and Bangladesh were not formed.... Our country loss to much during afgan and British Era
Navroz is a pre-Islamic non-Semitic (that is non-Yehudi-Arab) Aryan New Year. Though much of Iran now follows Semitic-Islam (a fine religion like any) Iranians as a proud ancient Aryan people celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm along with Zoroastrians-Iranians. It is no secret that the Aryan Race originated in the North-Western Indian subcontinent and touching region of Central Asia and then moved Westwards and Southwards. In fact, Rigvedic-Sanskrit and Avestan-Persian are very nearly the same since they originated from a common proto-Aryan language. Example: Rigvedic-Sanskrit: abade pantha he ashae, visha anyaesham apantham Avestan-Persian: aevo pantao yo ashahe, vispe anyaesham apantam Translation: the one path is that of Asha, all others are not-paths. I was posted in Kashmir and in Kashmir the Pandits (Brahmans) celebrate (since time immemorial) the New Year (Navreh) during a similar period so do the Shias of Kashmir. Most Shias are recent converts to Semitic-Islam in Kashmir from Kashmiri Hindus due to the Iranian preacher Mir Shams-ud-Din Araqi’ Navreh in Aryan Kashmir: th-cam.com/video/KX2JUDSYf80/w-d-xo.html
Ancient Vedic and Avesta periods have similarities. Aryaman became Iran and Aryavarat became India eventually. Also Novroj means New Day, our basant sankranti also falls around same time because after winter new plants and flowers start to flourish once sun shines stronger and days become longer.
