    I thought #2 was proximal... it makes more sense since the metacarpals are distal to the ulna.

    • @J_Y_00
      @J_Y_00 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think the question should mention about a joint or something to say proximal or distal

    • @kaylab03
      @kaylab03 ปีที่แล้ว

      its superior because its closer to the midline of the body. the ulna is closer to our midline than the metacarpals. At least thats how i took it. Itd be proximal too i believe. so youre right too

    • @nathanielgoglia1268

      I thought proximal also!

    • @jitbro5572
      @jitbro5572 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Proximal and distal are often used in relation to limbs. So yes, I totally agree. I don’t know why superior would be the answer either considering the ulna bone and the metacarpals are part of the upper limbs.

    • @nathanielclark1981

      Ya I believe they’re wrong on this one

  • @stephanieharding4259
    @stephanieharding4259 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    Ulna is proximal to the metacarpals. Proximal means closer to the point of attachment. This is referring to the ulna being closer to the point of attachment of the humerus. Distal is farther from the attachment. Superior is above but refers to the trunk of the body and not the arms or legs. The ulna is a bone is one of the bones in the arm.

    • @Mandidzv
      @Mandidzv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s what I thought too. But the metacarpals are also superior

    • @russellackerman889
      @russellackerman889 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I said the same thing, when referring to a limb you go off of the relative distance to the point of origin. You might argue that it's both but proximal is more correct. If it wasn't there would be no use for proximal and distal as everything g could be described as superior and inferior.

    I learned in anatomy and physiology that we use proximal and distal only for the limbs. So why are we saying superior instead of proximal since we only use superior and inferior for the trunk area. example your head is superior to your navel. Your elbow is proximal to your hand. Can someone please explain thanks. Im referring to question 2.

      Some very good advice in here. This one costs a bit : get a good tutor. Tell him to ask some trustworthy instructors if they know someone who is a good tutor. Hire one WHO HAS REFERENCES ( I put that in caps because not everyone smart person is able to teach someone) .
      Another suggestion is for him to study with a friend or someone who is also taking CNA. Get them synced so they are doing similar blocks of questions. Then they can review the answers that are difficult that they got wrong. Having other people means people who might understand key concepts that you do not.
