Hey Josh, you should do a video reviewing the non-league clubs you’ve already been to, to catch everyone up on where you’ve been & to rate all the old games/grounds!
Non league football is definitely on the rise as supporters are getting priced out of league football and getting fed up of the obscene amounts of money involved. The only issue is, as non league rises it turns the heads of those wanting to turn it into another cash cow.
5:18 At the stadion of Helmond Sport where you were not so long a go. They have houses at he back of the end with no stands. People watching the game from their rooftops.
👏 Great video - love the name Under The Floodlights! Glad you’re doing a Non-League series as it’s on the up and deserves recognition. As I say a million times, hope to see you at Bracknell Town (in Sandhurst) soon as we need more TH-camrs to come and give the club some exposure! 🤝😉
Living in and supporting Blackburn Rovers, I really should pay a visit to a Chorley game, I’m even at the right end of Blackburn for a simple drive over.
You should come over to Katwijk in the Netherlands to watch non league side Quick Boys, who have just made it to the quarter finals of the Dutch Cup after defeating 3 (!) professional sides
I missed out on going to Chorley when they were in the division above as we, Maidenhead United, were due to play them at the end of the season but covid cut the season short. Fun fact, Danny Whitehall, the scorer of the Scunthorpe goal played for us that season and I sponsored him!
My son in law is a Wrexham supporter living in Southport. We went to a game on new years day as away supporters a few years ago in the National League. Got to love none league football.
I remember going to Chorley as a Stockport fan and just thought to myself "What am I doing here?" When I saw people watching the game from a tree and a photographer was stood on a hill.
Great video as always Josh as a Blackpool supporter who goes as often as I can to watch Annan athletic I totally agree about friendliness atmosphere at lower league teams.
Big fan of your channel, can you please watch Scarborough Athletic we got some great fans for non-league and a team with history playing in the football league and going under forming a phoenix club. We are playing Chester next week it would be amazing if you came to that game
You made it to the weekend's biggest nonleague fixture at my beloved Victory Park, and I missed you Josh! Damn it! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the match and the local hospitality. You're always welcome to visit again. Pints on us, mate! 😅
By the way, the Main Stand at Victory Park is indeed quite old. It was opened in 1947. The floodlights were modernised in the past decade or so. They do the job but they're not as old-school as the original ones!
thank you josh love this sadly i can not go to football anymore so this is a breath of fresh air that mael deal was nasty 2 out of 10 mate the only thing i was disappointed with was there was no in depth review of the club shop perhaps you could have a club shop review this was always my first port of call when i went to different grounds keep up the great work you are doing thanks again Steve agree about what you said about the pies being better i am from east london besy pies i ever had was at shews bury and wigan
If you’re doing this series you need to come to Bury FC. Competing for the title in the North West Counties. The biggest club in non league but playing at (nearly) the lowest level. Atmosphere is very good and unique
This is going to be a great series. If you want to visit a great little ground with unusual floodlights get up to South Shields FC in the National League North 👍👍
Hi Josh first time commenting watched alot of your vids but this is what I love Non league football, the passion the fans friendly atmosphere You should come and watch Macclesfield F.C my home club Risen from the ashes of Macc town that went into liquidation Reborn as Macclesfield F.C and rising up the league
Great vid mate, I love it when you go to non-league teams like these. I think you should go to Oxford City next, a club that has quite a bit of history behind it and is always overshadowed by its next door neighbours Oxford United.
Go CHESTER!!! See my comment to this video suggesting video maker missed because CHESTER is the hottest team in NL North with four wins and a tie in last five following 1-0 at Deva over SPENNYMOOR.
Chorley? Scunthorpe? I applaud you for covering Tier Six. Am being seroius about that. But I also am being serious in that I think you missed since CHESTER FC right now is the hottest team in the National League North. Blues/Seals now in second place with four wins and a tie in last five. Last game 1-0 win over Spennymoor at home, Deva Stadium. This win moved Chester into second past Scunthope, now in third. For the record, Chorley now in eighth. Yes, NL North highly competitive with first (Kidderminster) and eighth (as mentioned earlier Chorley) separated by only eight points. And for the record, Chorley has played fewest games -- 25 -- of the top eight. Seven teams above Chorley have played 26 or 27.
You should come to SPORTING HASSELT in the Belgian 3th tier. They are the Wrexham of Belgium. There was a takeover from 2 famous Belgian TV personalitys. And they have a popular TV show. They now attract 2000 man at home games. And they have a proper old fashion football stadium.
Hey Josh if your looking for a non league stadium to go, go to the Isle of Man their stadium and facilities are amazing or even go to Bury their floodlights are amazing
As this is your non league series, you should go to european non league matches as atmosphere are amazing. For example KS Karkonosze with their ultras or German ultras in 4th ir 5th division
Non League/Amateur football is really a community thing in the UK isnt it.. It used to be like this here in the Netherlands aswell back in the day, you supported the club where you lived the closest to. Now its just `pick a pro club and stick to it`
Josh mate you should come to middlesbrough vs sunderland would be an amazing experience for you and amazing video for your channel nd sit in south stand utb
Visit Cork City in Ireland Once a Big Club In Ireland only 6-7 Years Ago. They Now A Yo Yo Club Between Div 1 + 2 They just got promoted back up again with a good squad Their fans known for being very passionate in Ireland
Macclesfield would be worth a vist with Robbie savage putting money in. The club do get alot of stick but they are going to be the next Wrexham promotion after promotion.
Get yourself down to Gloucester City and cover the interesting story they've had and the recent (couple of years now) return to Gloucester after years of being homeless
If your available come along to dorchester vs poole town, 7th tier and a massive game, it wont disappoint. Also will be a wonderful support from poole!

Great video, come to Stafford Rangers next, a club which used to be a non league giant but is now struggling with poor ownership. Proper old fashioned ground and fan base though
Great video Suggestion for team As you visited Chorley - most famous for their cup success, as you mentioned. Why not visit Telford, they had big succes twenty years ago. Make a visit Oxford City or Peterborough Sport - who is it to be a second team in a town/city
Get down to Guiseley, we used to be in National League in 16/17 but got relegated and now we are 7th tier but second in the league and for the first time looking like we'll go up. Decent fans aswell if yoy choose the right game

People watching the game from their rooftops.
you should come to Hereford before the iconic floodlights come down at the end of the season.

Got to love none league football.
I remember going to Chorley as a Stockport fan and just thought to myself "What am I doing here?" When I saw people watching the game from a tree and a photographer was stood on a hill.
Good little club are Chorley. Maddest thing is their support base. I know Preston, Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan fans who follow them.
There's following and there's being a fan.
Great video as always Josh as a Blackpool supporter who goes as often as I can to watch Annan athletic I totally agree about friendliness atmosphere at lower league teams.
Gotta come to Warrington town when we play Scunthorpe at home, cheap booze, nice food, great atmosphere
Chris Beech lurking in the background over your shoulder after the scunny equaliser 😅
Big fan of your channel, can you please watch Scarborough Athletic we got some great fans for non-league and a team with history playing in the football league and going under forming a phoenix club. We are playing Chester next week it would be amazing if you came to that game
Huddersfield Town and Blackpool legend Chris Beech was stood behind you all of the game!!

You made it to the weekend's biggest nonleague fixture at my beloved Victory Park, and I missed you Josh! Damn it! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the match and the local hospitality. You're always welcome to visit again. Pints on us, mate! 😅

This is going to be a great series.

My exact thought, a proper proper non league derby😅
Get yourself to Gainsborough Trinity in the Northern Premier League 👍🏻 2 unbelievable cup runs so far this season.

7:42 The Chorley player went to take out the visiting player, mistimed his foul and injured himself. The booking should have gone the other way.
