Having a co-host seems to be a really bad idea when one takes the talk into somewhere else far away from the important stuff. It would have been disastrous if this set up worked for any of previous chats. This is one of the best channel in whole youtube to get more into advanced thinking , mindset , strategies about market. I hope the quality will stay the same. GL
Great discussion. I've been trading full time for just over 5 years now, beginning in stocks, then FX as a prop trader and now combo FX and Crypto. What I found that worked for me was to take well deserved breaks after long runs of trading. Whether you're on a winning streak or a losing streak, take time to regroup and recharge. I also gained a ton of weight during the pandemic and trading Tokyo to London open for FX. I went on the Keto diet and lost 40 pounds and took some time to get my sleep habits back in check. Lastly, I have learned to be neutral in my emotions. If I had big wins, meh...if I had losses...meh. Trading can be a long grind, so remaining consistent in not only your trades, but your emotions is something that I developed out of default after 5 years of trading.
@Rahul Gupta yes, I was profitable in year 2, but now my wife was able to quit her corporate job and help me with the kids full time. I initially was a full time stay at home dad, so trading days was difficult. I recently started trading around the clock and found that just trading 7 pm to around 11 pm was all I needed to remain consistent. With all the Fed swings and additional news, New York mornings have been way too hectic in terms of very extreme swings at a moment's notice. So I got back to what works for me and the key is to not overtrade.
I would be interested in a follow up with this trader in a year or two. Any first year success can be incredibly deceiving and not indicative of any long term consistency. I cringed a bit when asked about his reasons for a trade as his plans seemed really loose.
Yes it’s the background of a trader before becoming a trader I think that predicts success. Entrepreneurs, programmers, people with very structured brains are those I see winning consistently over time and not fooling themselves.
Best quality discussions ever. Informative educative and interesting at the same time. This requires a good host as well which worked so far. Unfortunately since co hosting the quality has dropped already sorry to say but her questions are rather disturbing. Please dont ruin it.
I really don’t agree that her questions were disturbing. Sure, Tessa’s voice has a different sonority from Aaron’s, but if you listen to what she actually said, I think it was totally fine (as is the sound of her voice). Sometimes cheese moves and we say “Who moved my cheese!?” But to me personally there was simply no problem and I think it’s a question of keeping an open mind to new voices.
@@spontayn My opinion was more of a feedback to the channel and whom may it concern not an opening argument. I love his work, one of the best quality but new host is talking about herself inappropriate time and questioning. Good to know that you disturbed by her voice, that is different to me, im listening music if i want to pamper my ears, and good quality podcasts with capable hosts if i want to pick up some useful interesting info about the topic im interested in.
I have a video about this on my channel, trading progress is not linear it's more exponential, when she asked him the question at the end about what he has learned to keep his equity curve moving up into the right, and he said that there were a combination of things that he learned and building up on what works. That really spoke to me because experience, I've had it figured out for months where I've been green and then I fall off or I add that one little thing that throws everything off, luckily I record my training sessions on my computer so it was very easy for me to go back to those months where I was killing it and see what I was doing and what I wasn't doing and I'd be damned if it wasn't the extra two to three little things that I started doing that threw me all the way off I went back to what had me profitable and the profitability came back Sometimes you get the biggest bang for your buck by cutting out things instead of adding and you are the most confident in any method that you have developed yourself. And at the end of the day it's all about mindset 80%.
Her voice is fine we're just so used to hearing Aaron that the contrast makes it sound high, she's fine. I do want to see her ask better questions, like Aaron does but she's just getting her feet wet in sure she will take over more and Aaron will move to the filler questions and not even doing the intro. The way this guy explain his strategy kinda make me question this whole interview, if you can’t explain your strategy in a simple concept. You even ask him about day trading timing and he couldn’t even explain it.. 🧐🧐🧐
Was thinking the same thing. Don’t want to jump to conclusions, but hard to value the information when the guest seems so unsure. The clarity of thinking was def lacking.
To be fair he is still a newbie, and I think he's doing well for only trading a few years. They say it takes 5 years to hit your stride in trading, in most cases. But he definetly does come off as he is still trying to figure things out.
Very nice interview. Been listening to your podcast for a few years now. You should also interview a gentlemen by the name of Gareth Soloway. He has been featured on Kitco News. Another guy who really stood out to me on there is Jason Shapiro, definitely one of the most interesting edge traders I've seen also features on kitco news recently, I've heard he had some history with some very well known trading book authors.
common its bs that title! He says he s been trading 4 years sincel TLRY, and says to Tessa that he pretty much just went all in on trading right aways when they start talking. My point is that this man is a success story 4 years after trading, and it does a disservice to people out here that are struggling on their first year now. IT has been extremely tough and if people could be really honest about how long and how hard it was all of it, it would not discourage so many new traders.
@@tommypham1101 .... I love the questions, but it overwhelms the interviewee when he's being bombarded by two interviewers. There should be only one interviewer. They can do three people on the podcast if it's a conversation.
A lot of pizza' talks in this episode . I had to make sure I wasn't on Food Network 😕. Hopefully Tessa overcome her shyness. Aaron congrats mate on the new born!!!!

Nothing agains Tessa but her voise is horrible on that microphone she using right now it's like inside her mouth sound + her voise tone doesn't help (very high pitch female)

"It would have been disastrous if this set up worked for any of previous chats" How would it be a disaster if it worked? Very confusion.

Good advice I completely agree
Do you mind connecting with me? I would like to surround myself with more profitable traders who understand psychology.
Now after 5 years are u become a profitable trader?
I aspire to be a full time trader. Own a tree company but hate repairs, life risk, employees and customers and BEING STUCK in one city.

Well said.
Spot on! Market cycles change edges can deteriorate or go dormant especially if you do not continue to learn and evolve.

Don’t do this podcast again with two interviewers. Ya’ll just fight each other on who asks questions. It’s distracting.
