Thanks for the 10T review Floss. Updating my 8T to the 10T since it has a better Camera. Also, the 125 watts fast charge that's a win for me, unless Samsung can do 125 watts on their phones I will switch back Samsung. Definitely a budget beater and won't kill your pockets on the $1k+ mark and you got close enough camera features like the 10 Pro for that price point if you don't worry about the slider, wireless charging, or other extras features. $1k+ for phones now a days is too goddam expensive.
That's because 8t also was bad.. My oneplus 7t has 48 plus 16 mp ultra wide and a proper 8 mp 2x telephoto lens.. How do you say 10t is a great upgrade without alert slider 2mp macro camera 😂😂with color os and some bloatwares too. I like my 7t so much that I might use for another 1 or 2 years and then upgrade..
@@roninr8199 True, but for me I started with Samsung then One Plus One then went Samsung again with S7, S8, S10, Note 4, Note 8, Note 9, and jumped 8T. So I didn't have the 7T to begin with. So I can't really say too much about One Plus from 7T. Went 8T cause it started that fast charging movement to Warp Speed, so I opted out for it cause of the fast timing before getting out of the house to head to work, that works for me. From what One Plus was from the original to current 10T I would say their camera game jumped pretty far. Yes, One Plus won't go back to it's roots, but there are other phones out there to compete like the Nothing Phone for it's originality. Definitely me coming from Samsung they got their camera game on for Android fan boys. One Plus isn't in par with that for cameras, but for speed in OS and charging I will still give it hands down to One Plus.
@@XpD78 first I thought of getting s22 ultra but with slow charging comparing to Chinese companies 150w charger, then 8 gen 1 heating issue I dropped plans.. Later after seeing some phones I just cannot get rid of screen off gestures like torch, changing music, or opening apps shortcut etc I literally not gonna get rid of my 7t.. I will wait till will get proper UDC may be 1 or 2 years.
@@jaminion I used galaxy s2, s3 then note 3 neo was the last and main reason for me to ditch samsung was lag of touch wiz.. It is strange that how come you jumped from galaxy note 9 to oneplus.. My sister is still having galaxy s7 and it's decent enough to use as daily driver. I then moved to oneplus 3t and 7t.. Oneplus was like to give flagship specs in extremely low cost.. Why I said 8t is useless was because oneplus used same cameras at 7t and nothing big change too.. 7t and 7t pro were the last flagship which had top of the line camera sensors, soc etc.. From oneplus 8 it's dead company.

Bought the 10t for $294 new.. coming from a 7t i absolutely love this phone. I dont care for cameras, i can make pics look good in pro mode. Great phone especially for this price.
As an old school OnePlus fan; this looks like a decent phone but I don’t know why you would get rid of the OnePlus features we have all loved, makes no sense.
What features did they get rid of? I've been watching Oneplus fall from since the first phone. Got a OnePlus seven and took it back within a week. Had issues straight out the box. Haven't paid too much attention to them after that.

Never thought we would be discussing the benefits of a Notification Slider in 2022. Why are Android makers so hesitant to include it? iPhones have had it since Day 1.
Thanks for the info about the Xiaomi and AT&T. I purchased the 11 Ultra and I only get mobile data with the sim. I work for them and I can't stand dealing with them. I know what I need to do and I feel the same way, "make it enough!" Especially after they pulled that B.S. this year with 3G retirement and sent me that B.S. prepaid phone and then turned off my OnePlus.

I've been trying to find a phone to make me leave the 7 Pro.. I have yet to find one. These newer phones just don't do much more. The hidden camera on the 7 pro is a gem in itself. These new one plus phones do seem to have lost the touch that made One Plus unique in the first place.
I bought the 10T. Flossy I love it, and I got the glacier mat case which cools the phone even further. The 360 antenna array is picking up 5G all over the airport where I work. This phone is priced perfect couldn't be more happy. Also that brick and C charging cable To me is worth at least $60. So the way I look at it the phone costs $589... for 16 gigs of ram and 256 internal. Side note, on my phone it shows an additional 4 gig of ram in my 10T phone. This is in addition to the 16 gigs of ram I already have. Putting the total at 20 Gigs of RAM at all times... I guess this additional ram is given to me through my network... I'm not sure if it's virtual ram or what is causing it but I have 20 gigs on the phone.. This is a gaming monster.
I also have had the 10t since release..you actually can get 8 extra gigs and it IS virtual ram..i also got an android 14 update a few weeks ago..this phone is craaazy underated!
You are so right on with the IR Blaster part. I travel often as well and I'll lift a TV off the wall quick to hook up my accessories. And the universal remotes in those rooms like you said don't allow you to switch sources. The IR Blaster dips around all that.

12:45 Floss, I'll play devils advocate and use your car analogy. Some people will like the 340i over the M3 because its got a traditional automatic and not a jerky dual clutch at low speeds, they like the understated look and prefer a more comfortable ride - whilst having 90% of the performance that anybody needs. Doesn't mean the M3 is better, but that the 340i is enough for most people. ColorOS is the same but better than OxygenOS in its current form. People who love OxygenOS are talking of OxygenOS of old (like on the Onplus 6).
Love your videos Floss. I have the 9T and been thinking about upgrading. I didn't know if I wanted the 10T or not. Now that the 11 is out the 10T is $499. At $200 savings from the 11 I pulled the trigger after watching you and boots review the 10. Im waiting for it to arrive now. Thanks for your extremely in depth films. 😉

Fr people need to accept already that OnePlus is just an extension of OPPO marketing in the USA. They need to stop hating cuz this phone is good bang for your buck.
Great review as always 🔥 I noticed you never mention "thot protection" on OnePlus phones. If you swipe from the left side in the app drawer, you can move or hide anything in there. You have to put your fingerprint or pattern to access it.
One big thing missing is the alert slider! I went from having Oneplus phones to my current iPhone 13 Pro Max, and them cutting out the alert slider is kind of a big deal (to me atleast)! I might have to stick with iPhones now if it's here to stay PS: Not a scumbag btw, lol!
I rock my OnePlus 6t for over two years and it never failed on me. Changed a battery recently but it's good to go. Charges fast, has what I need, and it loads everything very very fast. I won't change companies

this is nice phone but the issue you can not find accessories easy, also maybe after 2 months release you can not find acccesoories in local market and some time even by internet, this is the reason I am using only iphon or galaxy

It's a shame Samsung charging is so horrendously slow. My Z flip 3 charges at 14W when not in use, 5W when plugged in and in use. The battery is not even that big.
For the Chargers it has to be included because it's proprietary technology the reason the other companies don't include it is because they feel it's Universal so you could just go and buy it which is bullshit the other thing is one plus hasn't lost their way people don't understand if you want everything you buy the pro if you want an original one plus phone where it has some cost-effective features but still delivers against flagships even though it's not top of the line and the price is right then this is a calling back to what one plus really is ironically not what people are saying that they lost their way because without Carl pay the last one plus phone is really the OnePlus 7 Pro so this is an awesome deal

I am an original owner of a One Plus 1 so I appreciated this review. The 16 GB and 256 GB are certainly a nice draw, but the phone left me meh. Thank you Floss for discussing software updates and 5G regarding Chinese phones... it's a question I've been having about those phones, and you addressed it... you da man Floss. Good point about software updates, but 5G in the USA would still be an issue.
Floss: That funky red and white striped case? Read the box - that red material is supposed to use condensation tech to help reduce the heat of your One+ phone. Does it work? Dave2D says kinda but the difference is negligible... XD
Floss, I wouldn’t compare Oxygen OS and Color OS to the BMW 3 series and the M3. I’d compare Oxygen OS to a Porsche 911 GT3, while Color OS is like a 911 Turbo. The GT3 may have less features, but it feels much faster and more satisfying to use. A lot of people appreciate a clean, fast OS over a bloated one full of extra features they may never use.
The charging speed is unbelievable. Still, I just can't say "who cares about battery life with these charging speeds " I need something with great battery life because I don't have outlets around me unless I'm home. Therefore, charging speed is not a substitute for decent battery life. Those of you who are lucky enough to be around outlets all day long, enjoy your privilege. The superfast charging only happens with the included SuperVOOC charger ($80 if bought separately). Cars, power banks, compatible aftermarket chargers need not apply, obviously. It's amazing, though

Consider changing sometime. I tried getting an iPhone for the first time in 7 years and am not of fan of it.
I'm still loving my OnePlus 8 Interstellar Glow phone which just got a software update yesterday to Android 12.
Just upgraded to the 10t from the 8t as it was only £304 brand new on Amazon.
I've had the Nord 20 and 8t. I'm waiting to see what Samsung got coming out. I got phones to sale or trade in.

Great review as always 🔥 I noticed you never mention "thot protection" on OnePlus phones. If you swipe from the left side in the app drawer, you can move or hide anything in there. You have to put your fingerprint or pattern to access it.

Swiping from the left has been removed after starting with OxygenOS 11. Now it's renamed to AppSafe
One big thing missing is the alert slider! I went from having Oneplus phones to my current iPhone 13 Pro Max,
and them cutting out the alert slider is kind of a big deal (to me atleast)! I might have to stick with iPhones now if it's here to stay

I rock my OnePlus 6t for over two years and it never failed on me. Changed a battery recently but it's good to go. Charges fast, has what I need, and it loads everything very very fast. I won't change companies

this is nice phone but the issue you can not find accessories easy, also maybe after 2 months release you can not find acccesoories in local market and some time even by internet, this is the reason I am using only iphon or galaxy
All the 10 Pro & 10T are missing is an option for expandable memory (SD Card Slot). That's the only thing stopping me from buying the 10 Pro.
OnePlus never had MicroSD slot

It only hits 45w for like 1 minute. And only charges about 2-5 minutes faster than 25w.
It's a shame Samsung charging is so horrendously slow. My Z flip 3 charges at 14W when not in use, 5W when plugged in and in use. The battery is not even that big.

For the Chargers it has to be included because it's proprietary technology the reason the other companies don't include it is because they feel it's Universal so you could just go and buy it which is bullshit the other thing is one plus hasn't lost their way people don't understand if you want everything you buy the pro if you want an original one plus phone where it has some cost-effective features but still delivers against flagships even though it's not top of the line and the price is right then this is a calling back to what one plus really is ironically not what people are saying that they lost their way because without Carl pay the last one plus phone is really the OnePlus 7 Pro so this is an awesome deal

I am an original owner of a One Plus 1 so I appreciated this review. The 16 GB and 256 GB are certainly a nice draw, but the phone left me meh. Thank you Floss for discussing software updates and 5G regarding Chinese phones... it's a question I've been having about those phones, and you addressed it... you da man Floss. Good point about software updates, but 5G in the USA would still be an issue.

Floss, I wouldn’t compare Oxygen OS and Color OS to the BMW 3 series and the M3. I’d compare Oxygen OS to a Porsche 911 GT3, while Color OS is like a 911 Turbo. The GT3 may have less features, but it feels much faster and more satisfying to use. A lot of people appreciate a clean, fast OS over a bloated one full of extra features they may never use.
The charging speed is unbelievable. Still, I just can't say "who cares about battery life with these charging speeds "
I need something with great battery life because I don't have outlets around me unless I'm home.
Therefore, charging speed is not a substitute for decent battery life.
Those of you who are lucky enough to be around outlets all day long, enjoy your privilege.
The superfast charging only happens with the included SuperVOOC charger ($80 if bought separately).
Cars, power banks, compatible aftermarket chargers need not apply, obviously.
