Hey Roffle, I just wanted to thank you for the amazing videos and content. I've been watching for 4 or 5 years now and you've always managed to make me smile. I've been going through a rough patch right now so I especially appreciate it. Keep being you, cause you are awesome
I just had a run where I got a runner up to 570 on blue stake zodiac deck (trying to work my way up to gold on all decks still). i even managed to manipulate my deck to a point where i could pretty consistently get straight flushes, sadly i never found seance. It was hearts too so if i had found a bloodstone i could've potentially taken that runner much farther. I now regret not saving that seed cause i'd love to give it another try to find out its true potential.
I confess, I do love the Negative tag. But after watching all these videos I've only started taking it early when I'm lacking direction and not trying to ramp something.
For the bus it NEEDS to score as it says in its discription, just like playing a a two pair and a king because its not scoring it doesnt matter hence playing a sebuffed king doesnt count, ive played it before, I havent played it in the most recent patch however i didnt see a patch note for Ride The Bus so yeh. I understand not trusting comments and I get that but Im just laying out the material already in the game although I could be lying I suppose idk
Right at the start you say since the update you have runs that hang in there then die late…I feel that. Been struggling to finish gold stake since the changes. Used to be them often enough, haven’t been able to since the changes :(
I went through the same thing on when the changes first hit the beta branch. After some practice and adjustments, it started to click for me and I have more success on the new patch. I'm sure it'll be the same for you.

Ride the Bus is scaling mult, Runner is scaling chips, Constellation is scaling xmult. how does it not make sense? it's literally a basic build with decent synergy playing non-face straights
@@kulatoidI mean Ride The Bus is incredibly overrated imo. It’s only a common joker so the mult scaling is pretty slow paired with a downside of minor consistency issues with playing none face cards, especially in a straight build. Especially early on when you need to save hands for economy. People act like Ride The Bus is a insta win for some reason; even though it has its clear downsides, you can afford to scale Ride The Bus if you run into a early economy helping joker (in this case To Do List). Constellation is a pretty good xmult scaler for this build though, buying planet packs just to even have a chance at finding Saturn is already worth if you have a good enough economy, paired with Constellation giving you some compensation if you don’t find Saturn is fine enough. The Ghost Deck also helps, giving Roffle Lite a free 1.5x mult on the Walkie Talkie.
If there was a mod that had an overlay of the last purchased card (joker / tarot / planet), I’d appreciate it soooo much. It’s very hard to watch this as a newcomer.
