- An apparent tornado tore through a village in Staffordshire, knocking over a caravan, smashing windows and bringing down fences. Residents in Knutton reported “tiles and debris flying around” in less than a minute of destruction which many described as a tornado. Video footage from around 6.30am shows bins being blown down the street before the winds get visibly stronger and a caravan is knocked over.

Tornado ripped through wolverhampton on the same day, people couldn't understand why the place looked tidy.
Bruh haha
Ha ha ha ha 😂😂😂😂
Notice how it’s the new build with the fucked roof but the old council houses are sound
Good thing we have brick houses
Except anyone who lives in a new "sustainable" building.
Wow
The tornadoes we've had here haven't gone past EF2 strength and are extremely short-lived.
I can assure you that our brick houses would be utterly demolished by a tornado that was anywhere near high-end EF4 or EF5 strength.
@@IAmChris7423 looked pretty effed up... and the flip was pretty amazing... nice to note the Uk gets it's share of mazing weather...
@IAmChris7423
We had an EF4 in London in 1091
UK does have the potential for strong tornadoes - but it would be an extremely rare event.
Well built brick buildings do stand up to tornados better but nothing is going to stop a strong tornado from flattening everything.
Tornados have even obliterated well built concrete structures, concrete and steel reinforced structures.
They are an incredible force of nature.
Props to our construction workers for making our houses nice and secure. 👍
At 00:09 (best in slow mo) you can see the wind carrying roofs and other debris in the opposite direction to the wind near the camera. Or in plain English: this is 100% a tornado, not just freak winds.
That wheelie bin. "Hold my beer bottles." 😄
Damage estimated to be in the tens of pounds
Lovely 😂😂😂😂
That’s nothing! When I was working in Shetland, one of the locals in Lerwick said that there used to be a campsite/mobile home site up on The Knab. One night there was a big storm, caravans flew over (yes over) the local hotel and many more flew into the sea. The campsite is long gone now, they then put a golf course there instead 🤪!
an EF0 tornado as 0:07 seconds in there is debris in the air this is a rain wrapped tornado and they are more common than people in england know about the good bit is an EF0 tornado is a joke in tornado damage terms a few things torn off here and there nothing major probably will cost the house owner a bit to repair sadly.
This was rated EF3
@@SebastianSuave-u2m so it did more damage then is seen huh?
I was sat on the toilet in that caravan and it's not funny.
I've now got tinted windows by default.
Midwest USA - "our entire street is gone, along with half the school" - UK - a few bins got knocked over and a caravan got flipped.
😂 true, but don’t forget the plant pots 😂
Took quite a few roofs off.
A moment of silence for all the missing Lidl garden furniture and trampolines
USA homes are also made of wood and hope. We know this was just some extreme winds but that same amount of wind would do much more damage to the homes in america compared to here so of course the damage looks low in comparison.
@@slayerr4365 Unless you live in a modern " sustainable " build.
Yes, it was rather breezy in North Staffs this morning. Hail showers too.

😂
Hardly surprising as we have more tornadoes than America apparently
Correct
In America it’s a bigger deal because their houses don’t hold together 😂
@@0R1B3ANS And in the UK now the government has " improved " houses by making them " sustainably " out of wood.
Well, you learn something new everyday!
No wrong US gets over a 1000 tornadoes each year, UK gets between 30 to 40 each year, the UK gets more tornadoes per square mile, because the UK is a much smaller country.
Must have heavy wheely bins there.
I've watched hundreds of "direct hit videos" from America and this is honestly up there with the best. If we had wooden houses, that street would be gone.
Everyone who lives in a modern " sustainable " house with their roof mounted solar panels, in wall batteries and heat pumps. Remember, the government " improved " housing so timber houses are the norm now.
This wind yesterday almost turned my umbrella inside out!
@@1newme425 I see the smile at the end!
That wheelie bin wasn't moving
We have had an hail storm in Willenhall West Mids
That’s incredible. In 2024 and with social media, that is incredible.
Same... a couple of hours later I was in the garden with short sleeves... very warm with full sun and blue sky 😊
Think we had the same one in Walsall, think we need to start preparing shelters 🤣
If the caravan is rocking don't come knocking.
And yet their wheelie bin is standing up still!! Wtf??
There’s a big tornado comeing my house and it’s at wensday
Flipping hell.
I live so close to this street lol, i was wondering why everything was such a mess everywhere
If you are a chav, the moral in the story seems to be don't buy a cheap caravan!
It’s not cheap, it’s just heavy winds
This was a very small tornado.
When we finally get one of the real monsters hitting a populated area in the UK, the residents are in for a real shock.
Amazing 😮
Aye, well……we had rain, hail, thunder, lightning and sun in Norwich today. No tornadoes though, dammit! 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪🌦☀️⛈🌩🌬💨
I’d be thankful if I was you 😂
We're the degs alright?? 🤔
The UK has more tornadoes per square mile than the US.
we had one our neighbors were having a party and it was very still then all of a sudden
a gust of wind came out of nowhere and took flags balloons and paper cups into the air and landed in our moat!!!!!!!
Here we go again. A bit of wind and suddenly it's a "tornado".Actually, I will translate this video title in to proper english...."Moment a bit of wind (but we will use the word tornado because it will actract more interest and viewers) flips over caravan in Staffordshire.
This was a confirmed tornado. I've been in 2 just like this one, you're living under a rock if you think we don't get them.
@@RockMusicEnjoyer I was in one in Birmingham once, I had to dive into the bank to hide. It was scary no lie
Tornados have different levels champ. Just because it's not a huge vortex destroying towns like all the EF4 and EF5 tornados you watch on youtube doesn't mean it wasn't a tornado. I know we exagerate the weather all the time here but like the other guy said this was a confirmed tornado.
One of those classic things where media has filled the minds of people so much that they don't have a proper understanding for the word anymore. Same thing happens with earthquakes and tsunamis too. Unless it's extreme destruction and the highest of levels people come out saying "no no it wasn't one" poisoned by their binge watching of natural disaster videos.
Before the government was trying to market a reason to charge the poor people 100% tax, we used to do things like weather proof our homes and belongings like having bins in weighted half sheds or strapping boats down to ground sunk pegs. Now instead we strap nothing down, make houses out of wood and every solar cycle or every weather change is called climate change and used an excuse to hike up taxes and further restrict freedom.
Defo tornado, strong F1 (we don't use EF in Europe or enhanced fajita scale) with more damage analysis this, coukd potentially be upgraded to a weak F2 tornado, that loud bang was the wind hitting the brick wall before the caravan flipped, and this is only a weak tornado, if the UK ever gets to experience a F4 or F5 tornado say good by to your house.
Michael fish all over again
Little bit of cloud seeding malarkey going on? Look at what happened in Dubai. Only slightly kidding.
The lesson here is do not buy a new build property
Someone redefined the word ‘flip’?
The media likes to over exaggerate EVERYTHING!
Does look like one
That’s Knutton
What is it with tornados always hitting trailer parks? 😂
Be mad if you were sleeping in there and that happened
Tornado?...
yep, very common in the UK
People call it a tornado, it’s actually just pretty brutal winds! So no I don’t think it’s spinning, correct me if I’m wrong!
@@0R1B3ANS I missed it the first time, but watch the direction of the flying debris change, from about 0:08 . There's a moment when it's moving in different directions at the same time, just before the caravan tips over. Definitely a tornado.
@@TooSlowTubeJust watched it in slow motion and yes, you can see the debris travelling around from the right and come back just before the caravan flips!
@@1justme I didn't think of slowing it down. Good idea.
Why wasn't it clast as a named storm the whether forecasting is getting worse
What?
Classed, not clast, weather, not whether. See me after school.
Just had a storm the other week, be a bit soon yet.
You can't name a tornado. You can't even really predict a tornado.
I was in it i live in Staffordshire
Sorry for them ofcourse lets hope there getting some of the peoples tax because quite honesty i think the government are not doing there job properly. WHY ARE THEY WASTING THE PEOPLES TAX MONEY
I assume you're referring to how the government is taking all of our money, nearly 100% in the case of poorer people, to change the weather? Or take preventative measures because the weather can't be changed? or do anything useful with it? no they're not, they're splashing it into their mates contracts and the WEF invesatments. It's an upward wealth transfer based on idealistic beliefs, aka, socialism.
I know he's gutted because that piece of sh it caravan wasn't insured! Plus he's going to have to make a claim on his own van insurance.
Dear oh dear.
My underpants ended up next door....😊
I’ve got a tornado video on my page from England
Just horrible
thats just how nature is so if you let your emotions rule your life then you will never accept the harsh truth of reality but can willingly accept the blind idealism of a dream.
and putting comments like "just horrible" on a tornado video is pointless and a waste of energy better used for more productive means.
Horrible ? ... Many of us are beyond ecstatic that the world is about to rock and roll ❤
