Zojila Pass - Gateway to Ladakh | Land of High Passes Episode 01

Zojila Pass or Zozila Pass is an Altitude mountain Pass that separates Kashmir Valley from the Ladakh Region.
It's considered as the Gateway to Ladakh.
Ladakh, Known as the land of High Passes and Zojila, is one at an Altitude of 11500 ft above sea level.
Zojila is the most important and strategic route as most of the supplies to the Ladakh region pass through this route for six months in summer in winter this region gets totally isolated from the outer world due to snowfall and the closing of Zojila pass.
Due to its strategic importance, this area had seen some wars also such as the Zojila war, when it was captured by Pakistani-based tribals and was recaptured by India through Operation Bison.
There's a war memorial dedicated to the war heroes of Zozila in Ghumri near Zojila top.
Still, Ladakh if facing much aggression from Both Pakistan and China and Indian forces are facing them and protecting Ladakh very well
