    Hello, i'm looking at a DCT 1200 for my next bike. Just a quick question. Were you using manual mode in this video?

    • @piggysriders2780
      @piggysriders2780  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it was in sport auto mode but even in auto mode at a push of the button it will change gear up and down if you feel like it's holding a gear for to long. It's just that the sport mode in auto really is set up for a track so it keeps low gears a long time so there is a handful of power when you need it hope this helps they really are nice bike to ride

      @@piggysriders2780 Thanks. Yes i'm very interested in them. If you choose manual mode does it still interfere with the gear choices, or will it let you crawl through a village in 6th gear if you want to?

      Yes you can crepe in high gears at low speeds it would only drop a gear if the engine gets to close to stalling but in normal auto mode it goes up the gears so fast just 40mph and it's happy sitting in 6th and so much talk from the engine as you twist the throttle if your on a flat road it won't drop a gear it will just pull from 6th the auto system on these bikes are really incredible

      For me I found if you want go racing stick it in sport auto if around town normal auto but in the twistys manual mode the bike just has it all

    Which color is your VFR? I have one in white, a real good bike! Also with DCT.

    What’s the furthest you would ride in a day? What’s the wind protection at 90mph like?

    • @piggysriders2780
      @piggysriders2780  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would ride anything up to 300 mile in one day don't think my ass could take any more than that and as for wind protection I am a big guy so tucking in the wind still going to be hitting me but a medium size guy should have no problem with wind

      @@piggysriders2780 I am 6’3" or 183cm, so need some protection from the wind. I have a VFR750FJ and that is a little small for the longer rides I wish to do. Just wondering if the 1200 is a bigger bike? I would do 200miles on the FJ, need a bike to do 600, looking at the 1200 or the PanEuropean!

      If wind protection and comfort is a must I would go with the pan European but for fun power and handling it would be the vfr with a comfort seat lol

    Would this be a good bike for a beginner?

    • @piggysriders2780
      @piggysriders2780  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not recommend for a beginner as these things are really powerful and could get you in to trouble fast

      @@piggysriders2780 okay thanks. What DCT would you recommend for a beginner?

    • @piggysriders2780
      @piggysriders2780  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honda do a NC 700 DCT that would add suite a beginner more and as a beginner the DCT would be perfect to get some time down on the road for experience to build your self up for a vfr 1200

    • @jmatthewsuk

      Yep I did that, good advice. My first bike was NC700 DCT for 3 years before migration to the VFR1200 DCT. Still took me a few years to master the VFR, what a beast. 20k miles in now and love the bike.

    They do a 700cc honda that's a DCT not sure but I think it's a crossfire
