Your videos should be mandatory to anyone who is into modular synths!

Great demo, covers a lot of ground. I also use triggers into hard sync on my oscillators when making percussion sounds to get a more uniform transient. When using a very snappy VCA envelope you might get more pronounced clicks depending on whether the oscillators voltage is high or near zero at the moment of being triggered. When the trigger for the envelope is multed and put into the sync input, the waveform will always be in the same position.

So many ideas, so little money, but I will try what I can in hardware and do the rest in software. Thanks a lot for being such a big inspiration.

Hey, and yes, great idea! Very often it's good to see videos like this as an inspiration to try and see what you can do with stuff you have, and not as a trigger to buy what is used. Mostly you find you can do basically everything with some decent software :) Cheers!

Software modular is a cool playground but I do not like turning knobs with a mouse, so hardware is definitely more fun. I just need more LFO's ;-)

love that nano system - have you thought about creating chords with three oscillators?

    • @MonotrailTechTalk

Me to! And yes :) I want to use this compact system for a few more things first. But a video on 3 oscillator tuning and tricks is on my long-list of ideas :)

would love to see that - haven’t explored polyphonic modules at all because I love manually tuning mono voices this way

I lose track of what the modules are in the live camera shot - any chance you could occasionally put an overlay over the live camera shot with a reminder of what kinds of modules those are? (ie. osc, mixer, lfo, etc) - thanks!

What a great video! I thought oscillator sync was either on or off. Like you want that Ric Ocasek sound, or you don't. . . turns out there's more to it than that - who knew?

Great ideas as always. But can you please raise your mic gain or lower the module audio levels? My ears hurt as soon as you open the filter
