The most wonderful thing about any garden is the air and humidity, you just get into your garden and breath in the nice fresh air and your stress and worries are gone away...😌
I cut up white icecream tubs to make white butterflies. I colour the markings with a black felt pen. With twisty ties I attach them to a stick and put them against my brassicas. As the plants grow I move the plastic ones up the stick amongst the leaves but always in full view. I have seen real butterflies take a look and then move on to next doors garden without settling to lay eggs!
Always enjoyed mixing vegetables with flowering plants..thankyou for these great ideas..that monster cabbage has more potential..perhaps it may overtake..🌷⛱️🌷
I love all of your gardens. They are so unique and wonderfull at his own. Could you explain me (I'am from Germany) what you meen for choosing "soil" or "compost"? That will be very nice. We also have diffrent names for what we doing in the pots an raised beds💐
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but in British English, compost can mean potting soil or multi-purpose potting soil, or it can mean what you get as the result of the composting process. It entirely depends on context to tell which is meant.
@@carolb6511 thank you for your answer. We using compost only as the name for organic material that we get from the plants and fruit we get rotting in a place.
I would, too, but I live in Indiana in the US these days and the frosts here would kill it. When I lived in the UK, I used to buy small bay trees at the greengrocers on occasion. The UK is warm enough in a lot of places that it can survive, although I understand that they just had a very severe winter by British standards.
Too bad you can’t get rid of that extra little rectangle else porch where your black planter sits. I perceive that extra little rectangle of porch disturbs the balance underneath your front window. But I’m a person to press first balance. you might like something asymmetrical. I still feel like your new little patio area should go out further into the lawn area.

I have a semi-dwarf apple tree that produced 50lb apples, I had to remove around 200 baby apples early in the season so the others would mature
