It's a shame that 1218 isn't operational anymore, especially since her excursion career was cut short in the early 1990s. Hopefully, in the future, she will be running under her own power once again.

On it’s first move from Alabama to Roanoke, I took photos of her when she stopped in Greensboro. I sold bunches of 8 x 10s to the local rail fans
