I think she is a good example of a character who is equal to her teammates. She pulls her weight and is a valuable member when magic expertise is needed. The best part of the show for me was Isaac. He pulled a Kaleesi with a happy ending.

Not to mention when she cut the monsters to half using the ice ring... she's so smart
The creativity of how they had her using magic in this series was excellent. Normally your have a wizard, warlock or sorcerer just using the same repeat spell casts without anything new, while Sypha used the spells she already perfected and came up with creative new ways in how to manipulate the elements

What Sypha is NOT, is a stoic, humorless, butch misandrist, which is what Hollywood seems to think is the ideal representation of a strong woman. Let strong women be WOMEN; not stand-ins for men.
I appreciate that she and Trevor clearly level up throughout the series. Her INT stat is off the charts by the end, while Trevor's been dumping points into strength and constitution.
I love how aware of the battlefield she is. She uses every resource she has and plans ahead with every spell she casts. She may be cornered but she pulls some ice from a previous spell to obliterate her enemy and, by the way, uses the remaining to save her team mates from certain death. The creativity and intelligence she has is one of the best uses of magic I ever seen, maybe even better than in Avatar

Her development as a cqc fighter is insane. Season 1 sypha had no answers when an enemy would close the distance. Now she readily fights close range cause she’s more used to it now.
And a mage can learn to fight like a warrior in adds of its own first skills too...🤔😏😌 Technicas skills are just a things that any body can learn to use.
A lot of people don't know but, thanks to Sypha the Belmonts can use magic. Sypha and Trevor's union infused the Belmonts bloodline with mystic arts. Sypha is definitely epic and my favorite Castlevania spellcaster.

I always wondered how she was turned to stone by that stone golem, trevor effortlessly took care of. Like as soon as she was free there was no training arc for her she literally came out and proceeded to curb stomp literally every enemy she fought. Wish we saw what happened during that fight lol

Nocturne's fights aren't bad at all but not a single one has the level of sheer imagination that went into the Season 3 finale fight here. Annette, Tera, Richter and Marie *combined* have nothing on Sypha *alone* in terms of sheer magical versatility and even raw POWER. It's a lot like young Toph from Airbender versus her descendants in Legend of Korra.
One thing I love about Magic in Castlevania, is that it feels like magic. Sounds weird but I like that it has no explanation or "system," to ground it. Because its magic and at the very least its consistent.
