I've been routinely changing my settings every single day for the past 2 years since I bought my GTX 1070 (at release date of the 1070ti) Thank you so much!
I had this problem for years, on different windows operating systems and had tried many suggested solutions, but nothing worked. I had nearly given up any hope. Your solution works and I can't tell you how thankful I am for your video 🙏.
Had this issue for a while, and disregarded it. Finally, decided to take care of it. Looked around today, no successful changes. Your video fixed it no problem. Thank you very much for making this video! Super helpful.
Bought a new screen around a year ago and I've been struggling with this brightness issue ever since then. I thought I'd tried everything. Thank you so much, this finally fixed my problem!
Cheers dude! Thank you so much for sharing this. Good on you for actually understanding the issue, it's always nice when the issue is timing related with a simple fix. I can finally enjoy my settings on every reboot.
Can't believe you've actually solved this. Tried a number of different fixes and none worked reliably. You can see this is definitely the issue because the nvidia colour profile was loading at the log-in screen then after 1-2 seconds was reverting to the Windows default. Thanks so much for making the video.
Nice one for this, just got a 3080 and it started doing it where it never did before on my 1070, didn't even think of checking there! Life saver thank you.
i hade this issue. make my game filters yesterday and when i start up system and game today my game filter was not there. and found this video and make this windows change and make my game filters again and restart the system and start game up and check my game filters and there it was. so this video saved my day. thanks mate. this works and the video is 5 years old and still works i post this comment 26 Juli 2023
thank you so much! i was dealing with this issue for a long time and nvidia couldnt seem to help me because they said all of my settings were fine in the app. im glad you helped me with this!
Absolute baller! Thanks so much I have been searching for a solution to this for months! Mine wouldn't stick at all because of that second trigger. THANKS!
Thank's you ! Pour les français, Task Scheduler = Planificateur de tâches. Après cette manipulation, Nvidia arrêtera de reset votre éclat numérique à chaque démarrage de votre ordinateur ! Merci encore pour cette vidéo.
Bless your soul. For some reason it must have came with an update too because I didn't have this problem before but it's been going on for months now. FINALLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Jesus... I knew that windows was overriding my settings, but I had no idea how to change it. I just disabled color management as a whole. Thanks a lot m8
Fantastic fix, worked for me. Thank you for taking the time and effort to research this problem and provide a fix. I found the video very easy to understand for Im only a novice and I was able to follow and execute your solution. Many thanks.
Thank you I just removed the windows profile color and it works. Edit: dont remove it (doesnt work), if there is no profile color just add the default one of your monitor and disable the 2 tasks like in the video. Thanks for the video, I absolutely need the gamma setting.
Wow finally, I was waiting for ages for Nvidia to patch this freaking thing, I never thought it might be a problem on the Windows side. Thank you very much!
Thank you! My eyes are very sensitive to light in a dim room since I prefer it that way so not to feel so exhausted while using my computer. This helped me so much. I wish this was disabled by default whenever Nvidia graphic control or any other program like it on Windows 10 is installed. Now I don't have to worry about it each time!
tiny - but important - add-on to this solution: if thix fix does NOT work for you (like in my case), after tons of testing,my solution was to DISABLE generic pnp display in device manager. - open device manager - expand "Monitors" - rightclick "Generic PnP Monitors" and disable it thank you for this fix, lucid,it was a huge fucking step in finding what was wrong.
wait a minute it worked for 2 days then same thing happened. What is the problem? it says that i have disabled the colour thing but it still happens. Please help.
This didn’t work for me but what did was restoring the default settings, apply, change your settings, apply again and exit the application. It worked for me
my gosh! for years I've been dealing with this-- almost given up, finally the journey that began in 2009 ended today in 2018!
That's insane! Glad I could help
you're not alone! EVERY nvidia device i've ever had, I've been tinkering with the stupid sliders. Thanks!
Blessed is our Lord God Amen I hope that our Lord will bring you alot joy in your life

Glad this helped most of you guys! For everyone wondering about the animated wallpaper you can get it from Steam - just search for 'Wallpaper Engine'.
Literally saved me a lifetime of re-enabling my settings in less than 3 minutes. You're the best, thank you.
What a saviour this is! Thank you.

Every time I reinstall Windows I run into this problem, and this video has helped me out numerous times. Thanks!
Just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart! Much better than solutions on Nvidia forums that involve creating custom ICC profile
