Thank you for this video and your focus on the strings and not your ability as a guitarist. You play beautifully but your focus on the content and not your ego is refreshing. Thanks again. It really helped me decide to stick with the 80/20's. Well done!
Le meilleur essais comparatif que j'ai entendu entre les phosphore bronze et les 80/20 ! Merci Globalement je préfère les 80/20 dont je trouve le son moins sec ,moins dur que les phosphore bronze .
Thanks for the comment. Honestly, I've been wanting to do a test like this for myself and my guitar for a long time. And I came to the conclusion that I like 80/20 better too.
Such awesome guitar work! I was wondering what string gauge your guitar came setup for when you bought it? Because I just bought the same guitar, I replaced the stock strings with elixir 12s but the nuts seem to be cut for mediums? Was it the same with yours? It’s a little confusing because I thought all Taylor’s left the factory with 12s? Unless I’m wrong and they used medium? Let me know, thanks!
Hi! Thanks for the comment. I always use 12/56 strings. This is the gauge recommended by the guitar manufacturer Taylor. It's all about the sound of the first string, 11 and 10 mm have a characteristic rattling sound, and with 12 mm you can hear the sound itself. Perhaps if your guitar is new, 12/56 or 12/53 will fit in size over time. This is not my first Taylor guitar, and I have never encountered this problem with any Taylor guitar.
If this is important to you. The top deck is made of solid spruce, the back deck and sides are made of sapele (similar to mahogany), the neck is also made of sapele with an ebony (black wood) fingerboard.

It's tuff...they both sound good. When testing one should tell what woods were used guitar wise. it does matter. thanks.
