@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I'm in the US, and the cap gives me a visceral negative reaction, as it is a spitting image of the trump MAGA hat. When I first saw it, I was in disbelief, as I initially thought it was a MAGA hat. Unfortunately, every time that I see the hat, I get a strong negative reaction, as I think trump is the most vile organism on the planet. Of course, trump lovers will love the hat, along with fans of Farage and Musk. You may think that I'm overreacting, but I think you'd understand if you were in the US, and experienced the disdain that half of the county feels towards trump, and anything associated with him, like the MAGA hat.
I always look for the worst case scenario, so how about this: The kayak flips, and gear and drop stitch floor both go overboard. The gear is most likely heavier than the floor, and has much higher center of gravity, so if the kayak flips, the gear pulls out the floor as the kayak is rolling over. Could that happen, or am I just crazy? 😀
@@BeDoHave-so8nr I think you'd either have to be on really rough water for that too happen, or do something really stupid on flat water. Most dry bags, even with gear in, have a lot of trapped air. They're more buoyant than you might think.
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Thanks for getting back to me. I wasn't thinking that the dry bags would sink. I was thinking that the dry bags and floor would all stay afloat, still tied together, but would be out of the kayak while still afloat.
@BeDoHave-so8nr ah I'm with you, well in rough water that would present a problem, but you could possibly keep it together. Nevertheless, it is a highly unlikely scenario 😊
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I think it would all stay together, but would be difficult getting everything back in the boat if not near shore. Want to do a test? 😃 LOL.

You don't have to make a red one! When I made it I didn't even know what a MAGA hat was.
