    1:39:02 answer of question number 6 is B. It’ll stay in any position because the needle is allowed to move in horizontal plane, not vertical. And also horizontal component in a geomagnetic pole is 0. So any horizontal position is possible.

    Respected sir que no. 6 ka ans b ayega (I THINK) becoz compass neddle (given )which deflect due to horizontal component of Earth's magnetic field and at geomagnetic poles horizontal component is zero so remain in arbitraty direction i.e stay in any position so option c is correct

    Sir Question(6) me needle ko only horizontal plane me move karane ke liye allow kiya he or At pole's horizontal component of earth's magnetic field is zero therefore, if needle is hold horizontally then it will stay in any position. So I think Answer is B..

    1:39:02 , sir B option should be correct bcz question is asked for compass needle. When asked for dip needle then c option will be correct.... 🙏🙏🙏

      @@HariKrishnan-vp5ed a magnetic compass needle moves in horizontal plane due to earth's horizontal magnetic field. Since, at poles no horizontal component is present hence needle will rest in any direction.

    Hi sir i love your passion for teaching and physics. keep doing it big time.
    1:39:00 please check the answer should be B instead of C.
    If the needle is constrained to move along horizontal plane (i.e compass is parallel to earths surface) then the magnetic field will hit the needle perpendicular (and horizontal component will be zero). hence it doesnt effect its alignment and stays at any position.

      @@xyz-dq2gk Because wo needle sirf horizontal plane me move kar skti hai ( acc. to question).
      And poles par north south direction vertical plane me hota hai. (Horizontal component of *B* on poles is zero → can move in any direction)
      Maine answer key se bhi confirm kara ( B is correct) &
      NCERT page no. 188 blue box me bhi yehi likha hai.
      C answer tab hona chahiye jab ham dip needle (moves vertically also) ka use kare.
