Owning a Fiat Linea 1.3MJD FTA for the last 13 years. Done over 1.7l kms. One of the finest cars ever I have owned. Fantastic ride, handling. Wolfed the car to squeeze that extra bit of power from the 1.3l oil burner. In those 13 years close to 4 years the car was not much in operation (2yrs of COVID and 2yrs when I was not in country). I know few of the Linea/Punto which has done over 3L kms and still going strong.

Clocked 2.10 lac kms..still zero trouble..
High on stability, cornering confidence, handling, ride quality, build quality, that steering weight is exceptional.. leave all these.
My reason for buying this car was very simple..
After chrcking Verna, SX4 etc.. I went to check linea.. I did nothing .. I just opened the door, sat inside & shut the door... That's it.. I went crazy on those heavy doors and bought it without second thought.

Škoda Rapid was one of the premium competitors including Fiesta, Verna, Swift Dzire, Vento, Etios! But this had few of the very premium features before 11 - 12 years.

Above all these, as mentioned the Build Quality and Stability. I still enjoy driving the same vehicle even though upgraded to Tata Safari. Salem True Sai does decent service compared to others in TN! My vehicle still is in good shape because of them. Just had my yearly service last week at 169000 kms which in turn gave the same original engine smoothness on roads! Truly Nostalgic MW!

Recenty purchased a 9year old 2014 Linea diesel for 2.5L,/84K run. Previous owner had immaculately maintained. Falling in love with this. Upgrading will be difficult for sure.
My Punto Evo completes eight years .Nowadays, many petrol cars struggles to balance the mileage and performance on highways.
There is few options to the peoples to buy a diesel cars. Asir Bro revealed many untold stories like this. Thanks for your information because I am a proudly FIAT owner. 🚘🚘🚘
Very much excited to see this video explaining the positives of this car. I bought the multijet in 2012 after Verna. Again I bought a newer one in 2017 replacing the previous one. (Incidentally my car registration is also 7071) Usually I change the car after 5 years. But when I think of buying a new one now and next time when I drive my Linea, I change my mind. I love driving Linea and only the owners will feel the pleasure. It is so stable and the hydraulic steering makes a lot of difference. Since Salem service centre is nearby, there is no problem for the service. Me and my wife want to retain this car as long as possible.

I'm a Figo owner, one time I got a chance to drive a Linea. Undoubtedly it's a gem of a car absolute pleasure to drive.
I feel Fiat handles a bit better & Ford is a bit quicker.
Edit: If you ask me Ford or Fiat, I'd say Ford & Fiat. I'm greedy.

Compare figo to linea..there are wheel base difference give advantage for linea..but compare with all new fiesta and linea...it will be good and both are great car...we had in india...i was workes in both ford and fiat dealers...

I wanted to buy linea in 2017. But Fiat exited the market when I had an opportunity to buy. Finally I bought slavia on 2022. It reminds me of linea.
I have a Pickup Truck named Fiat Punto Evo ( 2016 ).. always carrying half ton of Antique materials for Exibitions all over kerala.. crossed 2.5 lakhs kms with 26kms / litre..
Had it for almost for 8 years and drove 2+ Lakh kilometres before selling it of. One of the best handling cars that I have ever owned. It was a 1.3 litre multi jet. Wouldn’t have sold it if it did not have issues with the AC and small niggles eventually. Have sold it locally, my eyes bleed whenever I see it on road.
Hi friends i have my Fiat punto diesel 75 bhp.. From 2012 till date.. She is very strong in high ways.. And im stil using in mountain climbing.. She deliver 20 km per litter with using always ac.. So so happy.. Happy having fantastic car.. She with me always.. Thank you🎉❤
I really love FIAT Cars.. Class Engine with Extreme comfort for all the Passengers including the person who Drives the car.. I was about to purchase FIAT Linea in 2011, from TAFE.. but due to 2 Reasons, I dropped..
1. Fabulous Comfort in Driving, but really finds difficulty in Reverse and parking..
2. Even in 2011 , FIAT Linea had the Voice command features, like Service remainder. etc. but the service quality of Tata, was a big question??..
I dropped and purchased a Ford Figo.. Titanium..

Fiat - definition of cars. Linea was the best! Facelift (She )was with me until 2L. I/my family got separated from her. I was literally flying with this beast....love driving!! Best handling, stable and taking the corners just like that...1.3 engine...till date I cannot believe as it cruises all the other great engines like a wind...

Own a 2009 linea. Done 1.4 L kms. Even today feels like new.
Stability combined with excellent dynamics and unwavering rock like braking even under panic situations.
I have unknowingly hit a speedbreaker on an NH at a high speed of 110. If it was another car it would have gone for a toss.

I am proud owner of 11 yrs old Fiat Linea 1.3 Emotion Diesal. Really India missed this Gem. Fiat left india by leaving it's JEEP brand. Jeep compass is a good vehicle launched with Multijet II engine but bit costly.
A Newbie car enthuciast here, Linea looks so handsome. That White colour blends superbly with the character of the car. Loved this lost gem review, but how the brother manages service point was missed to be spoken I felt..
In my city FCA Jeep service station is there. General service parts available all the time. Incase of body parts need to wait for 1-2 weeks.

Myself proud owner of Exotic Red Grande Punto 1.3MJD.clocked 95k+ kms from 2014... A car that never boring.....The Razor sharp handling and steering feedback is an exception....Fuel efficiency at the maximum....my record 28kmpl.... which none of my other cars gave including Swift 1.3.....Its really a gem....its my 3rd car in Fiat...

Whenever you buy a diesel car new you are not buying just a car you are buying a journey.
I owned a 2014 1.6 diesel verna SXO. I sold it after 1.4lac odo and sold it (regret selling it) and recently drove a 1.5 diesel 2021 verna, it felt boring and less troque.
As I couldn't get over my Verna hangover, I was not satisfied with any new diesels or petrol engines in market did not match my expected performance in the budget. Even VW TSI didn't satisfy me. Finally I bought pre owned 2017 Cruze LTZ with 47,000km odo (KA Bangalore reg) and it's a rocket.
For petrol heads, once you drive a diesel car you will never step into a petrol car of same segment.
Paint quality of linea is much better than its competitors.. especially pearl white

I own and drive FIAT Grande Punto 1.3 multijet diesel 90hp car. I purchased brand new car in 2011. God's grace, till date I did not face any mechanical breakdown. As an owner I really miss the company and product. Difficult to understand why european manufacturers not prioritising Indian market and leaving the market after making heavy loss.
Like Asir bro mentioned low end torque is the only major drawback of car. Don't know why Fiat didn't provide 1.6MJD in the facelifted version.
1.6MJD was readily available and Fiat still using that engine in other market. Not sure why they didn't brought it to India
