who said to you it doesn't exist? every place on earth does it, it only differs the manner but there is.. but dont pull everything into one box when majority of times, it's not racism, theres a lot of things inside a reasonable concept, not everything is racism just because foreigners a lot of times, dont even understand what they did wrong and are constantly disrespecting others countries, americans do that all the time, thats why japan are proihibiting foreigners to go to certain places, or now you have to pay...in my country is the same, we always were a country that every liked to come to, but after receiving africans and middle easterns and indians, brazilians, my country was one of the top of the world most secure places, not anymore.. we used to have houses unlocked, go everywhere at night, women and children were safe not anymore...they dont have civics and education, polute everywhere, lack of hygene, medieval behavior that puts women and children in danger, cant leave them by themselves, women are calling their husbands to put them at work and go pick her up, when they call a uber driver most are from india, they dont take until it is a portuguese...so lot of that "racism" is not really racism, but a distrust and insecure reasons, and also lack of respect to the people...i know how that feels and i try to respect koreans, japan or china..but china people have no contact with black people for example, so they go out of curiosity, children dont have fear for blacks they go and do questions, why he is that color etc...

@ i saw many times, young asian children doing questions to black people, theres a guy who talks chinesem, he is black and he record himself to see the life of a black man in china, most do ignorant questions, mostly children...they want to take pictures with you and are nice to you...but as you know chinese government is not the people, so they edit posters from movies like the Star wars 2015 and reduced the image of FInn the black actor etc...but thats like saying Fidel Castro represents cuba, and they are poor and nice people, so you can read very rude comments about asians, "how can chinese people think like this" the insult version... most of asian chinese culture, korean and japan since they came from the same base mostly, their education is much around them, their needs etc...they dont waste time with the world, very nationalists..but if you can speak their language that distrust disapears and they accept you more, including old traditional people, they dont like foreigners because they perceive as disrespectfull to not speak their language and make them speak yours...so language is a big deal there..in my country portugal, we feel the same way about the french, french dont learn english, so we are in portugal and have to speak french? why dont you learn english at least? So what i am saying is people need first to eliminate all the other reasons and make sure that is really racism..brazilians acuse portugal all the time, but they always want to come here not the other way, but the complex of inferiority of ex colonies, they came with 7 stones in the end to attack you in case you say something they dont like...they want to make portugal brasil, and a lot of brazilians that are here for ages have to tell other brazilians to not come here if they came with a certain mentality, just because we speak a similar language doenst mean that our culture, difference in language, rules, traditions etc...are the same..they advise people, so i am trying to put myself in the position from the korean citizen

I have read about racism in Korea particularly towards the black and brown people. Although not whole country can be generalized due to the acts of a few people but it racism is an issue in Korea. It may because there is some sort of superiority complex among Koreans regarding the color of the skin or culture or economy. It is sad that what we consider as a good country to explore turns out to be our nightmare because of wrong perception or expectations we hold towards the people and countries which we love for various reasons.

To be honest I could’ve misunderstood but there were too many coincidences such as he said x.bal and 외국인 in the same sentence while looking at me , so it’s hard to think of any other reason

dude, Europeans love their looks, they dont get multiple surgeries to look different.. Its only in Korea, its like Koreans hate their natural looks or the looks that they are born with and then they go through multiple procedures to look like half Japanese and half Chinese.. to get those double eyelids like Japanese, nose like Japanese, tiny face like Chinese.. Europeans dont hate their looks, actually nobody does, except S. Koreans..

Wow, that is so disappointing to watch. I mean, you are not hurting or bothering anybody. Is very ignorant, and I wish those people would have said something to him. But then they would not because he is older. I honestly would have followed him and confronted him. That's what they don't expect you to do to speak up in the same language. They think we just go there for vain reasons. Or that we don't know anything about Korea. Is very ignorant and sad. Because there's a big world out there, and they don't know. I am sure that older man knows who helped his country during war. Without help from other nations, Korea would not have to thrive in 65 years.
