still in my rotation on my playlist after all these few years....great video too....lyricaly shadowy movements in audio and visual composition. Mr. Stott always exploring and never seizing to amaze me.
Geez....I used to listen to this SO MUCH when I first moved to downtown L.A. Actually this entire album. I was just in a new world at that time...good memories.
I'm a huge Andy Stott fan and I am so impressed with this new direction! Very excited to hear what the new album will sound like. The visuals for this song are ultra mint as well - I'm blown away!
I was very used to his "gray songs" (like "Numb" and "How It Was") and took too long to accustom his new R&B and minimalist style. I know that some tracks of his two first albums are minimalist, but, as I'd said, they are more "gray" than this one. Andy explored very well the aesthetics of albums like "Luxury Problems" and "Faith In Strangers"; he really needed change his style.
gives me this weird dark r&b, witch house, ethereal feel I've really been missing since 2011, lol. some choice of visuals kind of undid it for me, but I love it though!
I heard this song in 2017 and forgot the track/artist until a few weeks back. Had to let the youtube mix run a few times on simiar songs for it to come back.
That 4 note higher pitch stepping down melodic phrase....why does it sound SO familiar? I read he didn't sample any artists on this record, but man....it sure sounds like someone.
Where do you stick this in your record box? Love it, and I've heard quite a bit of stuff lately with this deep, minimal, electronic, soulful aesthetic. It's really hard to place though huh. And I mean that in a good way because the soul of the track goes right down into the drums, synths and spaces between them. Like proper Detroit. Fuck it, "neo soul" - filed and done.

Same… I can’t stop listening to this particular jam
This is the kind of song/video that just makes you want to create something...it's inspirational
how can a human being be so versatile
It's, like, painfully expectations-expanding.
Which one?
Oh no! An artist did something that I'm not used to and now I'm mad on the internet!
This is a great tune! Progression is key.
+Nicolas Lamoureux Thank you for saying this.
+Nicolas Lamoureux nailed it
Won the internet.
had similar misgivings at first but am now a full convert. this is gold. true artists transcend themselves ...

@@MyEgoMyThoughts I'll gladly stay where my money cushions and brings me peace. Thanks.
Yet another new and beautiful use of Alison Skidmore's vocals. This is lovely.

This song is such pure velvety soaplike masterpiece material
ever since I heard this song I can't keep it out of my head. plus the album is fantastic
Complainers are nuts, this has mad vibes. Actually has quite a lot in common with his early work in terms of tone.
Really liking this change in sound, can't wait to hear it in the context of the album.
I thought this was a Hennessy ad for about 30 seconds, but then I realized it's actually Andy Stott and I am definitely... intrigued
Andy Stott is phenomenal
My music sucks compared to this! So glad to hear this exciting music. Stott brings us stuff from other dimensions down to earth.
Everything I listened to before I discovered Arca sucks compared to this
The sync at 1:29 with the street light turning red is absolutely perfect.
The video editing/production is great ! Some of the cuts are super sharp.
this was the best surprise of the past months. stott is still merkin it
This is incredibly good! What a vibe. Now this is what I consider "contemporary".
Who the fuck is going to bless us by rapping over this beautiful track
Love it. A return to form for Andy. Plus this crazy desire to go back to N.Y. for some reason..

1:39 Reminds me of Storyboard P in Flume and Chet Faker's music video for Drop The Game.
Cool music video.

Andy stott is in formation
2011 internet music all over again.
If you've ever visited New York, this is exactly what it feels like. A-mazing.
That 4 note higher pitch stepping down melodic phrase....why does it sound SO familiar? I read he didn't sample any artists on this record, but man....it sure sounds like someone.
Video is amazing, wonder what took more time to make, if that or the actual music!! Both great
aesthetic
underrated song
Makes Me Happy ✌🏿️

Modern Love, please consider putting this and the rest of your discography on Spotify. Would be nice... :)
Nooo Andy, come back ! Don't go there !
Mesmerising film n sound.....................

This is amazing - both the song and the video.
Also, anyone know what sunglasses the dancer's wearing? I need those!

I don't know why but i would expect to hear this in Dark

the synth sample reminds me the film ''' Goonies''.
Who said that's a sample?
I hope the album 's better
Reminds me of oOoOO
These chords sound really familiar. Are they a sample? or just similar to something else?
