I am from India. I have lived in Tehran and shiraz for a while. People are amazing and hospitable beyond anything. I share great experience. Falafel sandwich and Rice-Chicken Kebab was my favorite. Have a good time.
Hi is it safe to travel in Iran ?
Actually India learn hospitality and tolerance from Persians after the invasion. Traditional old india was not tolerant people like or unlike tolerate others according to their cast. Untouchability was the center of olden Indian culture. Now same is comming back thanks to modi Yogi type BJP followers showing the true color of india

It is true that Persian culture has impacted North n Central India but not the Southern India n NorthEastern India.

I don't think so. Iran was modern during the rule of Shah. After Islamic revolution the status of women has got deteriorated. Women enjoyed lot of freedom during the rule of Shah. Shah was pro western. Iran has become orthodox after Islamic revolution. During the rule of Shah there were night clubs, pubs and discotheques. Today they dance in their room but not in the open air.
