Watching this back is insane recently cause they said these episodes saved them from cancellation. SBS had no idea they were a success internationally and this showed it.
Trivia: That first RM episode in Thailand saved RM. The show wasn't really popular in SoKor, and the first Thailand episode was supposedly the final one, but it was also the moment that the staff and members realized how popular the show is overseas, and so we have the show up until now with more than 600 episodes and counting. (RM is my youth and Imma continue to support the show.)
Seok Jin said in a recent episode that when he first worked with kwang soo in a different variety show, he though kwang soo was not very funny and very average, but when Jae suk worked with kwang soo he thought kwang soo was very funny that’s why he recommended kwang soo to the running man staffs for members to cast Seok Jin said ‘I saw an average man while you(Jae Suk) saw a star’

everyone on rm got a character bc of js. he started the monday couple, peaceful gary, haroro, villain jong kook, annoying grandpa sukjin, ace ji hyo (and bad ji hyo too) and yooruce willis. ofc all of them comfortably adapt to that character but js has never made kwang soo into any type of character. i think he tried once, to put this "loser" character for kwang soo but that didn't work. back in the early days, it was hard to get kwang soo to talk as he was extremely shy. jaesuk had to frequently asked him questions so that kwang soo will speak up. but as he got more comfortable with the casts and the show, he developed his own character and stayed true to that character. he maintained his image as the cheater and framer and traitor kwang soo. all of that was from his own hardworks and efforts. now hes the crowned prince of asia
I have always wish that runningman will come shoot in my country. So that i can welcome them.there are so many runners in my country.I want them to know that .As a big fan of lee kwang soo,now my wish got scatter like dust.
