After I knew that Dillon wrote this song after her miscarriage. I can see the sadness in her eyes her voice tone and her shivering fingers. She really spills her heart into this song.
My miscarriage was 6th month ago. I would give birth to my Baby on the 30. December, one day before the 5th birthday of my daughter. After hearing this Song I can say I barely try not to cry. You can learn to live with this pain, but it's a loss you can never really come over. To every woman who made this experience: Cry if you want to, you are not alone in this situation. Keep the love for your unborn in your heart, not the anger.
I am sorry that you had to go through such experience, but I am happy also that you are able to find the meaning behind it. I pray for peace and blessings to you and your family.

I had a friend who had an abortion and she regretted it for so long, this song is like maybe about adoption too, my mom had a friend who found her adopted daughter when the daughter was 20something. She always mourned that her daughter was given up for adoption, when she came home grandmother had had the daughter adopted. Its like finding your child back after all those years, or perhaps if it had been born and you find out about it again and going to still rescue them, writing about them, searching for them... its a strange song that reminds of dark things, but is very beautiful.
