Thank you so much for sharing your technique. I have usually machine sewn my reinforcements for steeking but I can no longer see well enough even to thread the machine. I appreciate your technique because it is not as bulky as crochet and the yarn wraps and secures each piece of the stitch that could come loose. I also usually worry that the edge will pucker because of the reinforcing stitches but there is no puckering at all with this technique.
Thank you for the excellent video! This seems like it will give less bulk than the crochet steeking method? Are there any negatives to the backstitch steeking method?
