We are in heaven! I cannot decide what is it that makes this magical:is it the expressions in the faces? The mood they transmit? The performances? Or Schumann ? Thank you for sharing!
...agreed! I have a print of Brahms at the keyboard, and Radu's gestures and posture are so similar...I'd once completed a portrait of Brahms (a commission piece) because there are at least 5 early photographs of the composer, and that was enough for me to try for likeness. It helps, if one loves the music. And this Schumann piece, as it is here played, is so sublime...
Omg so happy this exists!!
I was in the audience. This was fantastic evening. Andras Schiff, Joshua Bell, Connie Shih... Unforgettable!
true, love, and understanding my favourite musicians.
Do not forget the flawless contribution of Michael Oldham, doyen of English page-turners.
Certainly the very last video recording of Radu Lupu... According to the online articles it was December 17th 2018. Thank you for uploading.

This must have been one of Radu Lupu's last appearances. He retired a few months later and died in April 2022.
From afar, it's like watching Brahms playing the piano...
