The Eucla motel rooms are really nice. Stayed 1 night so we didnt have to set up the camper trailer (before we sold it for a Van Off rd van). Always purchase fuel at the Puma self serve out of town. Much cheaper. Want to go back and do gold detecting in the Kimberleys. But the cost of fuel brings tears to the eyes and the budget. Come to Cape Douglas, SE of SA on the coast, near Port MacDonnell. Howls here for days on end with 90+km winds. Only take waxed cardboard boxes into WA for storage as they confiscate normal ones. But they replace what they confiscate.
Hello from the Gold Coast 🤟 Great videos guys also very in depth videos on vehicle and caravan weights” It’s Sunday morning 03:20am I’m trying to get to bed 😂been watching your videos for a couple of hours lol I have a Ranger as well so it’s a great insight on weights , 😊
@@nowornever_aus So true mate , I finally finished watching your videos at 06:55am and off the bed after your last Cape York video 😂 it’s incredible how much you guys changed the interior look of your van it looks a million dollars, once you’ve experienced dual axle caravans you never go back to single axle I learnt the hard way my first two caravans were single axle as well, the only advice if I could suggest is swap out your Venetian Blinds and replace with roller blinds they will give you more privacy, make the inside darker, help with outside noise at night as well as better insulating in summer and winter. Plus they won’t move around when travelling. You will find the Venetian Blinds will drive you both crazy when the wind rattles through them day and night. A light tint on your windows will make such a huge difference in summer when your running the air conditioning insulating the van better and giving you more privacy during the day while inside and save your air conditioner from working as hard especially when you’re using batteries off grid. Unfortunately everything we do costs more money. Anyway looking forward to seeing your next uploads, happy travels 👍
Thanks for the video. The Nullarbor is on my bucket list just to say I've been across there. Hey mate with regards to the coaster bus, from memory and it is a long memory from quite a few years ago some vehicles Wheel nuts and wheel stud threads go the other way to tighten and loosen them. Could be something worth storing in the memory bank.
I really enjoyed this vid and didn’t skip any ads on this one guys, hope it helps the budget 😉 i think that’s how it works isn’t it?? Thanks for sharing your adventure over the past 15 months. Take care
Another great video to watch and learn not everything on the road is perfect and money doesn't forever. Plus I always get travel tips. What size tyres did you run on the Ranger. Good luck to you and your family and best wishes for your next adventure.. Travel Safe and Enjoy 👍🏼🇦🇺
Those machines you could hear and see were headers. The channeling of the water on the rock was done by the early settlers to catch water for stock and for travellers as they passed thru the area. Those rocks are granite and not too porous. 👍
U guys in coffs over Xmas where heading down from cairns love to meet u guys at a pub mrs dad lives in repton there for a week love ur work guys starting to plan our own trip in the next 2 years or before hopefully ❤️🇦🇺🙏🍻🤙
Another amazing video. Thank you guys. By now you are back home and maybe already planning the next big lap… might send you a sneaky message to find out 😉
Mate, you guys are so raw and true to ya roots!! I’m not one to subscribe but I hit that button 👍 As we are heading off on our own adventure at the end of the year as a family of 4 and similar van size ( wild child Sunseeker) I couldn’t not!! I’ve already gone back to the start of your trip. Absolutely frothing to go and can’t bloody wait!!! Good luck with the future and who knows, we might cross roads and have that beer with ya yeewww🍻🤙
Combine harvesters, Australia and US, same , Water is scarce, water traps, If your not sure left or right thread, have a close look at spiral, not too hard, Hope work is going well for you , , The worst fuel my 100 series did was 23, best 18.1, So much for small motors and there fuel economy, Enjoyed episode Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
Hey guys great honest video/review, would you consider working on the road next time you travel around OZ? Overall are you happy with the choice of tow vehicle? What would you consider changing too? Keep up the great work
Thank you! Yes will definitely work to keep the budget happy. Ranger has been a great tow vehicle as long as the weights are good, if the money was there we’d upgrade to something that can tow more in a heartbeat though!
I commend you guy’s for being very open with your financial situation, most aren’t. Can I ask how much $ you started with when you left? Interested to know as you guy’s have definitely enjoyed to journey and not held back.
If you had gone the other way you'd have undone the wheel nuts. Japanese light trucks/ buses have left and right hand thread wheel studs. But hey atleast you stopped.
time to get back to work and get some money :( any idea what your L/ 100km are towing the van?? looking forward to see what you are doing in the future stay safe
"Massive" ....that's what she said 😅
Love it!
😂

Yea it does make it tricky these days with fuel prices!!
Nice job guys,
Maybe one day we will cross paths. We are in QLD for the next 12+ months.
Cheers, karl & Katty
Thanks!
That would be great!
Thankyou so much guys loved every bit of your content cant wait too see ur next setup enjoy
Thanks so much mate!! Not long now!
@@nowornever_aus hopefully we cross paths along the way as we are taking off around june for the lap cant wait
Bloody oath! That would be awesome 👍🏼

So much involved with the weights it can lead you down a rabbit hole!

Yes it appears I was tightening the nuts! Crazy that I’d never know that about trucks / buses!

Thank you for following and thanks for watching the ads!!
I've enjoyed all of your vids and this one was no exception. Capturing that lightning bolt on the drone footage at Bunda Cliffs was very cool. 🙂
Cheers Paul! The storm was wild to watch!! Such an amazing experience!
Great lightning shot at 18:18 :)
Thanks!
Hope your all well and really enjoyed your videos look forward to see you all on the road again no matter what your in😎
Thank you so much!! 🙌🏼
The lug nuts on larger vehicles on the passenger side are left hand thread you were trying to tighten them 😅
Yes a few people have mentioned this 😂😂 good to know now for next time!

We ran Black Bear All Terrain 2’s 275/65/17’s on the Ranger
What a view from the rock guys, thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next one…….safe travels 🍺🥂
Thanks! 🙌🏼

Wow that is so interesting! So wild to think of how they lived back then when we just walk into a 7/11 for a bottle of water!

Unfortunately not this year! Enjoy your stay there though! Beautiful around Repton!
Tcharkuldu Rock is near Pildappa Rock, keep that in mind for next time. Both spots are nice. Top video.
Thank you! Will put it on the list!

Great choice of van! We looked at them but the wait was waaay too long!
Would love to catch up for a beer on the road!

There’s no replacement for displacement when it comes to motors!!
Some times those wheel nuts are opposites thread
Yes a few comments saying this so it appears I was tightening them! 😂
seen you guys at the caravan show on the gold coast last weekend, was going to come say Hi but the kids were buggered and wanted to go home haha
Haha yeah it was such a hot day wasn’t it!
@@nowornever_aus sure was kids were stuffed 10 mins in but we managed to stay for 3 hours and still didnt see everything
LH thread on the bus so think of it this way you have to do it up too undo it
Thanks! Absolutely had no idea they were opposite thread! And neither did the bus owner!
Great video guys, just wondering with your tyre monitoring system do you need a repeater for the tyres on your van?
Thanks! We have a repeater but didn’t need it for this size van
Get a Srcunnel for refuelling on the road side. Australian designed and made by a veteran. Google is your friend.
I have seen them! Great idea!
With the Scrunnel ...how does it push the flap open so fuel goes in without spill?
@@semklm7579 it has a thread, most diesels don't have a flap but the scrunnel will push in the flap.

Unroll the awning and bolt it through the back plate. Be like new.
Great idea mate! Unfortunately we threw it out already 😂
A new one is probably cheaper than the stainless steel bolts 😂
True!
That was awesome guys! 🤙🏽Would love to know the budget for 14 months to see if we could do 14 months too!😉
Thanks guys! Around $80,000, but that will vary so much between everyone depending on how you live / travel!
I commend you guy’s for being very open with your financial situation, most aren’t. Can I ask how much $ you started with when you left? Interested to know as you guy’s have definitely enjoyed to journey and not held back.
Thanks! No point in pretending you have money if you don’t!
Over the 15 months we spent around $80,000
Net gen v6 ranger coming?
🤷🏽♂️
What drone do you have and use?
We have a DJI magic pro that’s fairly old now but still does the trick!
Thanks guys. Hope the $ work out and looking forward to another season. It can be done.
Thanks mate! We’ll definitely be out there again!
I wish i was down to 2,000 odd $. Think yourselves lucky you poor unfortunates. 😮😮😮
We consider ourselves lucky everyday, by no means complaining about it rather letting everyone know exactly our situation and not hiding anything 👍🏼

Wow I had no idea! So I was tightening them then! 😂😂
@nowornever_aus yeah but don't feel bad you're not the first 🤣🤣
🤣🤣
My husband said the same thing
When you have no money it makes you realise just what the important things are to spend it on 😊😅😂.
So so true!! We’ve definitely learnt you don’t need a lot of money to be happy!
14 months without your dogs?
Yep! Long time without them!
time to get back to work and get some money :(
any idea what your L/ 100km are towing the van??
looking forward to see what you are doing in the future
stay safe
Back on the tools! 🛠️
We averaged 18 - 20L per 100km so pretty happy with that!
