One word of advice to anyone sighting one in. “A little goes a long way”

    Great video Big Sam 👍
Do you think they had a jig or some special way of zeroing them in?
After a case of ammo, I’m finally on paper, it’ll probably take me another case to zero in. The screws on mount are tricky 🥹

Ha! Went through it, but used a bore sight to get on the paper before the 250round zero!!! Never in all of my life has it taken me so many rounds to zero!

Have you seen a PEM scope and mounting system? I acquired a PEM scope and can’t find a lot of info about how it mounts. (I am still watching through the video, if you mentioned it, disregard this)

Название прицела ПЕ. Кронштейн название Смирнского. В этом видео прицел ПУ и кронштейн Кочетова. Если Вас интересует, могу дать ссылку на эти прицелы и оружие. Я сам имею такое, только в Белорусии😉

Is there a way to convert a normal Mosin to a sniper ?

Not worth it.......You Must have a good shooting bore and besides the cost of buying everything there's quite a bit of work n tapping.... Best just buy a S&K rear sight mount n pistol scope which doesn't Bubba up the rifle..... be well n K.A.G.

The Russian have something called Molot mount Q. Most of the modern mosin already factory fitted with one.

There are kits available “BE CAREFUL WHO YOU BUY FROM!” I’ve seen lots of horror stories about some of them! I would say if it’s inexpensive, there is a reason!

@@archer721 , Yep bent bolt, stock mods., Drilling and tapping work wise.. then buying a scope n the mount.... Not Worth it.. jmho.. be well.

I made my Mosin into a sniper Mosin, I drilled it, tapped it, and did all of the installation myself. I bought a bent bolt (has a different serial number than my rifle, but whatevs)* and I also “accurized” the Mosin using a shim kit and a rag on the barrel. I think I got lucky because it shoots beautifully, until of course the barrel gets hot then the MOA gets very wide. But when the barrel is cool, the first shot lands exactly where I want it at 100 yards.
I think it’s worth it for the experience but of course, do your research or have someone else do it for you. There is a channel called “Mosin virus” that does a very good job at explaining the process on how to drill and tap and zero your Mosin with a scope.
