Can someone please tell me why when I am taking free var as 1 for finding x_n, I am getting [2 -1 1] as my null space solution instead in the 4th part?
Hey, I guess the mistake you are making in calculating the null space is that you are still solving for (2,1,0) on the right hand side, where as you should do it for(0,0,0) as it is the null space and the particular solution is already taking care of (2,1,0). Hope this helps.
same. I used the method that was shown in previous video i.e. to take free var as 0 for particular solution and free var as 1 for null space solution. Did you get any answer as to why we are getting different solution?

the 10:40 wii turning on did not pass unnoticed
I love people who smile!!! :) Thanks for the lecture, sir.
Thank you Nikola! Thank you MIT :) This is a great video!
Thank you Nikola!! Your lectures have been really helpful.
In the L matrix, entry (3,1) must be 4 instead of 3

is that L correct. When I am calculating it is something else ? Also at the end my special solutions are (2 -1 1)
