This is probably his last shot as a Sabre to fit a decent role otherwise I can see him getting traded considering he was scratched on numerous occasions throughout the year
@@hatrickane Yeah. Although I think he would've been traded already if he has any kind of decent value. I think they rather keep him as an alternative this season and then let him become an UFA.
@bajjanitor Depending on if they're in a hunt for a playoff spot. I don't think Buffalo would be okay letting him walk to UFA if they were out of a playoff spot. However depending on his play, they may think of extending him. I never understood why they scratched him maybe it was his defensive play, but other than him and Daniel Sprong..there weren't many 20 goal scorers who were scratched on multiple occasions
