Pedri was coming of an injury, and he's being played for like 60 min every match. Hell, even in this same interview he already confirms he plans to give minutes to De Jong as well who is coming of a much worse injury. If he doesn't give him time it means he doesn't think he is good enough, that's it. He hyped up Inaki as well while he knew the club was looking for a replacement at the same time. Flick is just being diplomatic and doesn't want to burn bridges by say x player sucks, especially in public

The issue is really not ferran. Flick made big mistakes. Starting ferran without a player to provide assists is setting him up for failure. Lewandsk suffered too. I really do hope Flick learns from this! I am not a football coach but i knew we were in for a very tough match when i saw our starting line up. I screamed, how could he not start balde on the rt, to provide assists at times when you have rapha, and lamine on the bench! What a costly mistake he made. Hope he learns from this!
