4:43 Ben altijd een fan van Wally c.s. geweest, maar stijve gedoe van Engelse groepen? Zoals bijvoorbeeld The Small Faces, later The Faces, The Who of The Rolling Stones, om maar een paar te noemen ? Hmm, bedenkelijke mening.
WOW! I barely recognize Mette Veninga here! I swear she looks far younger here than she looked years ago when she was with Wally! I know that-to her credit-she took good care of Wally when he really needed the love of a good woman and I reckon that's what really mattered.
Hardly recognised indeed , what a little bit of television make up can do.... Mette was the typical mother hen.......Wally was an expert in searching out these types who would put up with his tortured genius behaviour , and do his household ....
He seemed to have grown up with the edge of a "street tough", but without the ability to cope with adversity that often goes along. He suffered three great losses that he could not overcome, in order: -- the loss of the only career he prepared for, -- the loss of his beloved Laurie, and -- the loss of his sobriety. Some people can fight back against troubled waters and emerge triumphant; Wally Tax was lost in the high tide.
@@froggylegspeople He was enough present in Dutch media to get an idea about his personality. It was well known he felt to be a misunderstood genius who should've earned millions .He never owned a house or a car , couldn't treat his mother (who nurtured his talent) and lived on Amsterdam's generous social security. Which is not to deny he was an original during the first two Outsiders' years.
