      No for that kind of weight take a close look at Zenaq Sonio 100M! The DM Accura 100 H Type R I would fish with 60g at lowest level better 80g.

    Hi Max, please tell me if you had chance to test Accura 95 H, and if you did, what is the difference comparing to Accura R. As well please tell me which carry case you use for your rods when you travel by plane.
    Love your work.

      Hi Vladimir
      yes I fish Zenaq Accura 95 H. Compared to the Accura 100 H it's a little bit stiffer in the top section of the blank. It fishes jigs starting from 85 g like Gekito Jig Strike, works nice with jigs 100 g plus and casts easily also 160 g (that's what I tested). With slim style 80 g jigs it doesn't work so well. It's a Accura 95 H is a powerful rod for big fish and has no problem with deeper places or strong currents (due to the stronger tip). Casting and handling is amazing! The butt section is stronger compared to the 100 H.
      For traveling I use wast water pipes I cut in the length I need, to protect the rods inside you can wrap them in bubble wrap.
      The introduction of 95 H I will publish here in a while.

    what difference have you noticed (during fishing/fighting/casting) compared to the normal 100 h rg?

    • @maxdocken

      Hi Noah,
      I have never fished the normal RG just casted it once from a friend. I found it a bit more stiff - that was my impression but I didn't fished it in direct comparison.
      If you are between RG and Type R get the type R for sure!

    I thought Single wraps were used in order to lose 10grams on the blank that with added 20 grams at the bottom would create much better balance of the rod.

    • @maxdocken

      Hi SJ and UL Dubrovnik,
      Accura 100H Type R is already very well balanced rod imo. With my setup the balance point is about 10 cm ahead the real foot - exactly where I grab it. Loosing weight is a side effect of the single wrapping for sure!

      @@maxdocken First thank you for promoting what is to me the best fishing brand in the world. Original accura was nearly perfect and hard to improve in any way. I remember Sensei Motobayashi telling they used singlewraps to make top section of the blank even lighter so that the rod is easier to use for a long time. TL !

    • @maxdocken

      @@maxdocken In reality type R 100H gained 30 gr. Based on specs. No major issue, balance improved but bulkier. However the bait version is completely a disaster. 300-400 reel recommended by website, huge guide setup made for LD reel and thick leader, make no sense, time to improve

    • @maxdocken

      @@jurajsladkay2608 honestly what counts for me is the performance in the field. Some people look only on the specs and forget that a well balanced rod feels lighter in your hand than a rod which is lighter but unbalanced. As I said before with my setup Accura 100H is very nice balanced and I enjoy fishing it.
      About the bait model - I have no clue why you drop this comment here. 🤷‍♂️
      But in general I'm sorry to hear that you are not satisfied - maybe you use it in a wrong way!? Anyway I'm not going to discuss it here!

    Rute: Daiwa over there 100HH
    Rolle: Daiwa Saltist MQ 6000
    Schnur: Daiwa J Braid 0,24er
    Fluo 0,50er ausreichend?

      Hi Max,
      danke für deine Nachricht. ✌️
40 lbs).

    Hi Max, I'm thinking between 100h and 100hh. I am targeting mainly 5-10kg groupers and mangrove snappers and they tend to sneak into rocks and stuff once got hooked. Is it better for me to get a hh if I'm targeting these species and just in case a bigger fish hooked on?

    • @maxdocken

      Hi Fangor,
      what kind of lures and weight do you cast? Also an very good option could be the new 95 H - the tip is slightly stiffer compared to 100H but mid and butt part are stronger.

      @@maxdocken Hey Max, thanks for the reply. I think I won't be casting too far as I usually search those areas around the rocks, so yeah another concern is that would 100hh work with lures under 40g? Unfortunately 95H is not available at my local tackle shop

    • @fangor2451

      @@maxdocken also speaking of distance, do you think 100hh significantly cast more distance than 100h?

    • @maxdocken

      @@fangor2451 regarding 95 H yes you have to wait until it's available, but rods are in production. A decision for a high end fishing rod shouldn't be done in a rush.
      To be honest, I don't have the 100 HH - so I can't tell you exact comparison details. I casted the HH once and found it relatively heavy and very strong. Casting a rod like the HH depends a lot on your physical condition and your power. I'm sure it's a great rod but at least for me I wouldn't like to have it as my all day every day rod (here in the Mediterranean), just for special situations when targeting specifically very big fish.
      Lures under 40g? What kind of lures are you talking about? Jigs I'm sure not, for other lures maybe but I don't think it's fun. Again, I think the 95 H could be a great choice. It has a similar tip to 100 H and a butt like 100 HH. Did you had a look at the specs of the 95 H?
      Greetings Max

    • @fangor2451
