Why did we buy a cabin in the middle of winter?

We kept an eye on the power use, after the cabin was turned over to us.
And found out that it was drawing 600W an hour, when we thought the main plug was off. That was 2€ a day.
We tried doing a bit more, but the cold stopped us from doing much.
The wall is down tho, and the whole room will now be our bedroom, that way, we will have space for a large storage unit there too.
