When I first bought a pair of the LEATT DBX3.0 Aaron Chase edition I thought they were fantastic shoes for the money, but then the first pair I had split across the vented section above the toes after only half a dozen rides or so (on mild trails). I contacted the online retailer where I bought them and initially they told me that LEATT had rejected my warranty claim on the basis that this must have been trail damage (isn't that what mountain bike shoes are made for?). After some further 'correspondence', LEATT relented and agreed to exchange for a new pair. Well I was only on about the third ride wearing the second pair and they split too! Actually I wasn't even riding the bike when it happened; I was pushing it up a steep climb!! This time I couldn't be bothered trying to exchange them; I just glued up the split section and left it at that. I also have a pair of DBX1.0 and DBX2.0, which have both been great - hard wearing, grippy and comfortable. If you really want the DBX3.0, I suggest you go for the standard version instead of this Aaron Chase edition, or just buy a different brand of shoe.
Why tf is this recommended to me idgaf about shoes I buy a comfortable pair and wear them not everyone is rich enough to have a shoe for litterally every occasion
