If you had to leave them due to external pressure, it's natural to cling on to their memories. But if left them due to a bad relationship, then it's best to move on. It was an excellent decision on her part as a person who could slap her would do anything with her even now!
The girl seems to be happily settled though she recalls with warmth the good moments she had with her ex. She seems to be clear and firm and at the same time kinda feel sorry for the ex as he hasn't settled. In reality , when one gets understanding loving partner and also sexually passionate and happily connected with their spouse they no more regret their past decisions even if they remember their past with warmth.
