Great video. Would love to see a tour of your layout. Currently working on a 1980-1981 chessie on the Cumberland Division. Would love to see more videos for ideas and tips.
Great ops session. I'm wanting an auto rack loading facility on my future layout! Might even build a RO/RO ship to haul cars and equipment over from China?
@@ThePixelDepotLLC The RO/RO ship? The facility wouldn't take much space, like maybe an unloading ramp and a place to park vehicles and equipment. I've seen someone just build the last 12 inches of a RO/RO ship to show the unloading ramp and vehicles on the ramp. Another way, incorporate the ship into the background photo. Photo of a real RO/RO ship but then build the last 12 inches at the dock?
Way back when (1990s) Walthers released bi-level kits and tri-level assembled versions of auto racks decorated for Chessie. I would have gotten them then. However, for most of them I changed the reporting marks, swapped out the incorrect “TTX” logo for the era-appropriate “Trailer Train” text and in some cases changed the railroad (B&O vs. C&O) on the side panels. I actually still have some more waiting to receive this treatment.

I'm two years late on this, but I finally did it! th-cam.com/video/M8yFmp4oB2Y/w-d-xo.html
Joe, just discovered your channel! Great railroad and operational video! Hope you have the time to keep them coming! Thanks!
Thanks! My plan is to do an update video quarterly, but to put out other videos with tips and how-tos as well. Glad to have you aboard!
Loved it! Subbed!
Thanks! Glad to have you along for the ride!
Subscribed! Ditto the previous comment, would love to see a layout tour and what the current plan ahead is!

Interesting idea. How much space would that take?

@@CONTAINERMAN68 That makes sense. I originally thought you wanted to build the whole ship, which would have been a challenge!
Nice ops.
Thanks! We have fun with it.
where did you get that chessie auto rack?
