You may check out Masungi Georeserve which is in Rizal. Not a long drive from Manila... there's Tagaytay where you have to try their specialty, the bone marrow soup and the fresh coconut pie (and of course to see the Taal Volcano. It is one of the smallest volcanoes that is on a lake. Inside the volcano is also a lake. So it is basically a volcano within a lake and a lake within a volcano. There's Sagada for the hanging coffins... you want off roading you take the ATV to Mt. Pinatubo on your way to Baguio or see the Mt. Mayon which is a perfectly cone shaped volcano. Then there's the usual beaches like Siargao, Boracay, Palawan, there's also Cebu for the canyoneering, sardine run, and the sea turtle then Bohol for the man made forest, the chocolate hills, and tarsiers. Guimaras island for the world famous mangoes (mangoes so good you are literally not allowed to bring any other mangoes into the island), Camiguin for white river rafting and countless waterfalls. You will find that the Filipino people all over the Philippines are some of the most friendly, hospitable, happy bunch of people you will ever ever meet.

It's really much easier to get a grab when traveling around Manila. Jeepney routes are difficult to understand if you are not familiar with the area, even for locals. Btw, the place you went to at the end is McKinley Hill, technically part of BGC but when people say go to BGC, they usually refer to the area near BGC High Street. Mckinley and BGC are both unique in their own way.
I'm sure it is much easier to get a grab, but we wanted to get the full experience of moving about the city😊 but goodness me the Jeepny routes are super difficult to understand 😅😅

The Philippines is different and the same from Thailand in many way. It's probably like Thailand 20 years ago and yet can be so modern like any other modernized cities of the world. Go to the rural areas for the raw and wild side of this beautiful country. People are very nice as long as you're friendly and open-minded. Safe travels.
Wow! Very impressed with you exploration. I was born and raised in the Philippines. But I’ve been living in USA for more than 20 yrs. Makes me smile seeing the sight and sounds of Manila.
I was born and raised in the Philippines too. I've been in the US for more than 40 years, Don't have lan to retire in the Philippines. But I'm watching the Philippines from vlogers and YOU tube videos.
Enjoy the beauty of the Philippines. Im a new Filipino subscriber watching from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Another South African couple Shev and Dev travelled to the Philippines from Thailand. They only had 17K subscribers last month when they arrived and increased enormously to 80K subscribers now.
Welcome and we are glad that you guys can visit Philippines. Those passengers in the MRT welcome you to show that any foreign visitors are most welcome, so enjoy your new adventures. Stay safe and God bless
I am starting to like you two. Very authentic impressions about Manila. I hope you two can get to travel further South of the country as most of foreign vloggers only travel north and central Philippines. New follower here.

Glad to watch your 2nd video here in Manila. Why I love South African couple vloggers like Shev and Dev and now, you both bring me to another engaging experience and looking forward to seeing more fun-filled stories.
I really enjoy ur vids. It made me feel like I was actually there with you guys. Good of you choosing to ride the traditional way (jeepneys, pedicabs etc) to get the real feel of the city). Don't hesitate to ask Pinoys for instructions (foods, directions etc) for they know basic English so communication will not be that difficult. With more than 7,107 islands to explore, u got ur hands full. Enjoy ur stay here in the Philippines. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Ahhhh thank you for the kind words😁😁 so many islands😮 its crazy😜 we definitelty so ask for instruction and we like exploring the reality of places😁 its fun😁 much love❤️
Welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭. I've never been there in Manila and am amazed by how beautiful it appears in your videos. I live in Cebu, Philippines, and I hope you will visit us too. Enjoy your stay here and take care always🤗.
Ahhh thanks for the bit of history of where you guys visit! Know it takes hours of editing etc but you guys still stay authentic and that’s what makes your channel so special!🥰. More please…..🤗
I like your style. You're more of a traveler than a tourist, immersing on a country's culture. Please stay safe. BTW, as a Pinoy, I always prefer Sinigang to Adobo, but the Pinoy dishes I like most may not be too unfamiliar to you, with different names. They are tomato-sauce based dishes like Afritada, Menudo, Mechado, etc.
Nice view of strolling around Manila😍😍😍While around Manila, don't miss visiting by other tourist spots like Luneta Park, Binondo Chinatown:best for your foodtrip in the city🍲🍜🍝, commercial districts of Makati, BGC (Bonifacio Global City), Mall of Asia area along with Manila bayview/baywalk along. Enjoy your tour around👍🖒😉
I think I just stumbled on my new favorite vloggers. 🤩🤩🤩 So far I’m liking the narrative style, the suspense, the element of surprise, and especially the editing. So nice to watch someone who may have done a bit of research beforehand and yet, still get shocked at the same time. 😁😁😁
You have a lot to cover! Hopefully you get a chance to see the beautiful islands that the Philippines is known for. Palawan is to die for! Relax and enjoy the sights and the sounds unique to the Philippines!
The most beautiful in the Philippines are the people....😊❤️b'coz Filipino people loves to share a smile to our visitors....welcome to the Philippines!!!and enjoy!!❤️
@@thebuddymoon Filipino people always tried to speak English to our visitors to feel that they welcome here even we are not so good in English....😊😊😊... Philippines is not just a country,,it's paradise!😊❤️🌎
2:10 the cards provided you were single journey cards, that is why it is collected whenever you're getting off the train. otherwise, if you have a prepaid card, you just tap away. you were in spain when you visited intramuros, then you were in italy when you get to bgc.
Now, that’s what I call being adventurous, exploring with out relying on others’ experiences, riding the LRT, jeepneys, and just going with the flow. I love that you found a man-powered tricycle instead of the ubiquitous motorcycle one, although it makes me wonder how much he charged for the Intramurous tour. Glad you didn’t get lost and found your way to BGC. Next time use a GRAB as they are the safest way to get around Metro Manila. Stay safe and enjoy your stay!
I am a Filipina. This is something I've always wanted to do someday. Unfortunately I haven't finished my studies and I don't have a job so I can't really travel anywhere. But watching vloggers like you guys give me hope that I can achieve that goal! I hope you have a wonderful stay here in our country! Stay safe.
Welcome to you two! I hope you'll have a good time here we are looking forward to the many videos you'll gonna do... greetings and much love for you guys!!!
Leanne and Dan, brace yourselves, your subscriptions is about to explode! Welcome to the PH. Great start in immersing yourselves with the jeepneys and trains. But moving forward, grab car or taxis will save you more time. Enjoy your stay!
Welcome to the Philippines! I've been watching several foreign vloggers who come here to the Philippines and each of them have their own take on the places here. But for me, you had one of the best 1st impressions of Manila video that I've watched because of how you highlighted Intramuros and its long history REALLY well, along with the modern side of the Philippines. You were detailed about it and I love how you express your awe by describing the things you see that amazed you and not just saying the same 'amazing' and 'wow' words haha As you have already experienced, it is easy to ask for help here because people will readily help you. That's how Filipinos are haha so even if you get lost, you can just ask randomly and they will give directions or even guide you towards your destination, as long as they know the place and they can speak English well, which is majority of us Filipinos can. Anyways, I hope you'd have a fun and memorable time in our country, and looking forward to your awesome videos you will take while travelling around the country!
Hey MG contents 😊 thank you so so much for the support and we are so happy that you enjoyed our video. We cannot wait to share our upcoming content with you 😊😊
Wow! I didn't even know that there's a way down going inside the dungeons there in Intramuros? That's amazing! New scenes that you have featured here in your vlog....kudos! Welcome to the Philippines! New subscriber here, a Filipino Nurse working here in Lahore, Pakistan! Mabuhay.....& God bless you both!
Hey Alexis👋😁welcome to the Buddymoon!! Yeah it was so interesting to go inside the dungeons. Look forward to sharing upcoming videos with you! Enjoy Pakistan, we hope to visit there sometime soon😁
Just subscribed👍🏻I like watching vlogs from the Philippines featuring its culture, beauty and the wonderful people and many islands as well plus there is no language barrier, salute to the tuktuk driver👍🏻
Great vlog. That was a really cool way to tour Intramuros. I didn’t know that they have a cyclist giving tours. Excited to watch your next vlogs. Please ask any Filipinos for any help ( direction, how to eat food etc.), they always welcome anyone asking for assistance. Enjoy the rest of your adventures in the Philippines .❤️🌞🇵🇭⛱🏄♀️🌴🌈
Welcome guys to the Philippines!! We are glad you decided to go to the Philippines 🇵🇭 Watch your channel views grows very quick in the Philippines we support you all the way to your journey.. Enjoy ur trip. I have been to Philippines first time at 1999 nobody knows Philippines, how beautiful country and peoples are so kind and friendly. Now everybody want to visit Philippines. I love Philippines and nice Philippines people. I will be there soon again.
My family and I are watching since day 1, actually since you were on thailand. I am into travel vlogs specifically to foreigner travelers and We've been watching since 2016. I just want to say that there were too many places here in the PH that has been documented or vlogged and there were saturation. I suggest you to visit the most underrated places to gain more relevancy. Foreign tourists here always going for the same itinerary and that makes us viewers get fed up. I suggest you to go to BATANES, BALABAC PALAWAN, CARAMOAN ISLANDS, going to this places will help you boost your audiences because for us this is refreshing.. more power to you and i hope we helped. you can send me a message for insights and more suggestions :D
Thank you Jirah😁😁 so glad you like our video's❤️ we are still quite new to fulltime traveling and have been trying to be successful on the platform for almost 2 years now. We have always had Philippines on our bucket list and always dreamed of doing certain activites. So we want to do those activities even if it has been vlogged before. We definitely do try keep an eye out for unique content and im sure we will get there once we know countries better and know what our viewers want. As a small channel, we still learning what our viewers want💛 much love💛
@@thebuddymoon Trust me, it does not really matter where you go or what you see. You guys are lucky finding a tribike driver who is also your guide and informant...He really loves the Phils. And our history from the way he explain things...and he has quite good communication skills.
just wondering how much you paid for that trike driver in intramuros. some of them were charging too much esp if you are a foreigner. anyways, this is a very nice video , keep safe and enjoy your stay here in the Philippines.
Wow! Heartwarming.. had been visited in that place way back 20 years ago hehe.. not all filipinos have the opportunity to explore that historical place for some reason.. nice seeing foreigners are investing time to discover the place.. we as viewers and as a filipino citizen.. I am so proud of you.. keep exploring!
Please go to High Street BGC, 10 to 15 mins away from Venice Piazza Mckinley Hill where you went. It is like Singapore and has more open spaces, shops, restsurants. There is also a food market there in Uptown BGC.

the blue bleep cards are the one you tap and you can top them up for your next trips in the MRT or LRT. While the ones you got that were white with green or yellow is a one way ticket and goes through the machine.
you got a very good tourist guide and a tricycle driver in one package. very good in english and well informed about the spanish history of the philippines.
11:35 The conductor said that they'll stop by the side because there's a traffic enforcer, it's common for jeepneys to just stop in the middle of the road to unload passenger. But that it illegal.
Welcome to the Philippines! Glad that you had thought of visiting my country knowing that a lot of western tourists avoided my country for some reasons. Please explore the three major islands of the Philippines: Luzon (where the capital city is), Visayas (groups of islands), and Mindanao (in the south the bigger island) but most of all visit my place Siquijor ( a small island in the Visayas region), and Subic (a bus ride away from the capital city). Moreover, have a blast!
Hey Teacher Eric, welcome to the Buddymoon 😊 we hope to visit some of these areas for sure and if we can't get round to all of them on this trip, we will definitely be back to visit again 😁we look forward to sharing our upcoming content with you 😊

Ahhhh thank you for the kind words😁😁 so many islands😮 its crazy😜 we definitelty so ask for instruction and we like exploring the reality of places😁 its fun😁 much love❤️
It’s actually now officially 7,640 islands!
Welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭. I've never been there in Manila and am amazed by how beautiful it appears in your videos. I live in Cebu, Philippines, and I hope you will visit us too. Enjoy your stay here and take care always🤗.
Cebu... everyone is telling us to go there😁😁 we will make a plan😁❤️
I love how your vlogging has historical facts and pictures. I hope you guys enjoy your trip here! Love from Zamboanga, Philippines 💖
Ahhh thank you😁 so glad you enjoyed our video😁happy to be in your country❤️
Philippines is a mysterious country but really enjoy to explore ..theres a lot amazing places there
Looking forward to seeing all that the Philippines has to offer😊😊
Ahhh thanks for the bit of history of where you guys visit! Know it takes hours of editing etc but you guys still stay authentic and that’s what makes your channel so special!🥰. More please…..🤗
Its only a pleasure Denise😁😁
Welcome to the Philippines, the vlogging capital of the world!
Thank you Butch 😊
I love that you researched the details and information about the places to share with the viewers.
We want to know the history and im sure many people would like to know the history too😁😁
I like your style.
Welcome to Philippines 🇵🇭 enjoy your vacation guys. More explore the Philippines.
Thank you Adrelene😊😊
Leanne resembles Emilia Clarke. Thanks and enjoy your stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant... you are suprisingly not the first person to say that🤣🤣
Nice view of strolling around Manila😍😍😍While around Manila, don't miss visiting by other tourist spots like Luneta Park, Binondo Chinatown:best for your foodtrip in the city🍲🍜🍝, commercial districts of Makati, BGC (Bonifacio Global City), Mall of Asia area along with Manila bayview/baywalk along. Enjoy your tour around👍🖒😉
Thank you so much Charles 😊😊
I think I just stumbled on my new favorite vloggers. 🤩🤩🤩 So far I’m liking the narrative style, the suspense, the element of surprise, and especially the editing. So nice to watch someone who may have done a bit of research beforehand and yet, still get shocked at the same time. 😁😁😁
I cannot wait to see more of your adventure in the our country! Have blast guys..
Thank you so much Val😊can't wait to share our upcoming content with you
You have a lot to cover! Hopefully you get a chance to see the beautiful islands that the Philippines is known for. Palawan is to die for! Relax and enjoy the sights and the sounds unique to the Philippines!
We do have a lot to cover and excited to see it all😁
you’re brave enough to take the public transport instead of riding a taxi/grab. appreciate that! 😄
Its the fun way to travel😜
The most beautiful in the Philippines are the people....😊❤️b'coz Filipino people loves to share a smile to our visitors....welcome to the Philippines!!!and enjoy!!❤️
Thank you Arman💛
@@thebuddymoon Filipino people always tried to speak English to our visitors to feel that they welcome here even we are not so good in English....😊😊😊... Philippines is not just a country,,it's paradise!😊❤️🌎
We have realised how friendly all Filipinos are, we got so lost taking a Jeepny and were so surprised how many people helped us out😊
Love that you try local transpo like Jeepney to experience the feel of the city as well as the day to day experience of the commuters tho
Hahahaha we love trying things... its awesome experiances for us😁😁
2:10 the cards provided you were single journey cards, that is why it is collected whenever you're getting off the train. otherwise, if you have a prepaid card, you just tap away.
you were in spain when you visited intramuros, then you were in italy when you get to bgc.
We realised they were single journey cards😜 figure it out as you go i guess😜
Great vlog guys & welcome to manila..love the energy & can't wait on seeing more videos of you guys in the philippines..😊
Thanks so much😁
Now, that’s what I call being adventurous, exploring with out relying on others’ experiences, riding the LRT, jeepneys, and just going with the flow.
So glad you enjoyed our video. We really enjoy figuring out a city and trying to do as a local would do. It makes it a fun experience 😊😊
I am a Filipina. This is something I've always wanted to do someday. Unfortunately I haven't finished my studies and I don't have a job so I can't really travel anywhere. But watching vloggers like you guys give me hope that I can achieve that goal! I hope you have a wonderful stay here in our country! Stay safe.
You can achieve your goal, we believe in you😁💛
Welcome to you two! I hope you'll have a good time here we are looking forward to the many videos you'll gonna do... greetings and much love for you guys!!!
Thanks so much😁😁
Our commuter trains are dual-system, single trip and stored-value. Stored-value are for regulars and allows topping up value as needed.
Leanne and Dan, brace yourselves, your subscriptions is about to explode! Welcome to the PH. Great start in immersing yourselves with the jeepneys and trains. But moving forward, grab car or taxis will save you more time. Enjoy your stay!
The Jeepney was waaaay too much fun🤣🤣
Welcome to the Philippines! I've been watching several foreign vloggers who come here to the Philippines and each of them have their own take on the places here. But for me, you had one of the best 1st impressions of Manila video that I've watched because of how you highlighted Intramuros and its long history REALLY well, along with the modern side of the Philippines. You were detailed about it and I love how you express your awe by describing the things you see that amazed you and not just saying the same 'amazing' and 'wow' words haha
As you have already experienced, it is easy to ask for help here because people will readily help you.
We cannot wait to share our upcoming content with you 😊😊
Great reply... Thanks for your very good reply...VERY GOOD OBSERVATION... ME TOO...
It's good to immerse in the local culture!
I believe that is the only way you can truly experience a new culture 😊😊
Welcome to Philippines , have fun and Hid bless ❤️❤️❤️💚💚💚🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Thank you soo much😁
You will be amaze as you explore the Philippines!!! We hope both of you enjoy and have fun!!!
Welcome to the Buddymoon😊😊👋
We didnt know aswell and got surprised😁😁 which is epic😁
wow kuya rico was so impressive.. he is more knowledgeable than others regarding history! ang galing kuya salute!
Hey Anna, yes Rico was an amazing tour guide 😁😁

Welcome guys to the Philippines!! We are glad you decided to go to the Philippines 🇵🇭
Watch your channel views grows very quick in the Philippines we support you all the way to your journey.. Just be careful on public places be aware of your belongings ok? Aside that filipinos are well very friendly and always smiling.. Keep the videos coming!

Thank you Sean😁❤️ we will be aware... thank you😁 and all the way from Germany, super cool❤️
Deb and Shev who are vloggers are also from South Africa. It is good to see you that collab together 😍
Maybe one day😁
I’m a bit emotional when you entered the church. Haven’t seen that in ages. You’re so blessed to see San Agustin church.
Just remember to use words like Incredible, Amazing, Awesome, Unbelievable, Insane, Shocking, Stunning, Mind Blowing, Most Beautiful, World Class etc in describing, sharing anything, everything, even nothing
Even for any slums you see.
They are superproud and they crave for acceptance, recognition and praise. Say anything negative and you are dead. That way you will get views and subs and one day you may have a car, condo, business etc. Good luck!

Omg i love the laughing, just like us Filipinos we laugh in everything😂🥰
It awesome to have sense of humour😁
Guys just be careful on the streets especially when passing the pedestrian. 😂 People can be impatient during rush hours haha
Your channel is growing pretty fast. 😍
We are careful😁 thank you for caring😁
Ypure right im eve disappointed how drivers had license but doesnt understand sbout pedestrian lanes.
You guys are lucky finding a tribike driver who is also your guide and informant...He really loves the Phils. And our history from the way he explain things...and he has quite
good communication skills.
Rico was awesome and amazing😁 learnt so much from him and he really gave us a great experiance😁
I love your vlog first time I saw your vlog.. I subscribe have fun in our country..
Thanks for watching😁💛
just wondering how much you paid for that trike driver in intramuros. some of them were charging too much esp if you are a foreigner. anyways, this is a very nice video , keep safe and enjoy your stay here in the Philippines.
Hey Serjune 👋 we negotiated and ended up paying a reasonable price😊 but thank you, we have a great time here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 😀
@@thebuddymoon ah ok. thanks for the reply😀
@@thebuddymoon ask the trike driver first "how much going to blah blah"
We definitely negotiated the price before going on the trike 😊
thank you both for the video. It was fun to go along with you and try and figure out how to get around. Jeepney rides are a must.
Absolutely loved taking a Jeepny. Such a great experience 😊
Very informative. I love how you guys know a lot. Only few vloggers actually do their research. Keep it up!
PS I loooooove the accent!
Hey Red, so glad you enjoying our videos and our accents 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks so much Rumil. Welcome to the Buddymoon 😊

Hey Adi, thanks so much. So glad you enjoyed our video. Welcome to the Buddymoon and we are so excited to share our upcoming content with you 😊
Please go to High Street BGC, 10 to 15 mins away from Venice Piazza Mckinley Hill where you went.

Thank you for that😜 so confusing whennu dont know anything🤣🤣
Have more fun in the Philippines to my new found travel duo. Enjoy your travel adventure of the island. Looking forward to your adventures.
you got a very good tourist guide and a tricycle driver in one package. very good in english and well informed about the spanish history of the philippines.
How awesome was he😁😁 glad we found him❤️
11:35 The conductor said that they'll stop by the side because there's a traffic enforcer, it's common for jeepneys to just stop in the middle of the road to unload passenger.
Hey Teacher Eric, welcome to the Buddymoon 😊 we hope to visit some of these areas for sure and if we can't get round to all of them on this trip, we will definitely be back to visit again 😁we look forward to sharing our upcoming content with you 😊
You’re so good in describing how our Intramuros heritage happened. Good luck

1. Ayala Museum in Makati (history overview via dioramas)
2. Three museum complex in Manila (Museum of Natural History is newest, but don’t skip the National Musuem in the old Congress Building).
Your vlog is way different than other bloggers who just took taxis. You were very brave to hit the road using public transport. Thanks much for sharing this video. Would be watching your next vlog/s.
